UPDATE: the guy was legit on the plane this entire time. the person scanning boarding passes didn’t scan his and just let him on the plane. so it showed up as he wasn’t on the plane (because his boarding pass wasn’t scanned) so they were like “oh damn where’d this guy go” and they found him this morning when he called his wife to tell her he got to France safely. poor dude was up in the sky while there was a whole ass search party for him in the detroit airport.
