I want more than probably anything for you to read this, but there's literally a one in a million chance of that actually happening.
I don't think you understand that I don't hate you. I don't hate you at all. I'm not like them. In fact, I want you to be a part of my life, a big part.
I know, you're busy with your own life, with your kids, with everything else that makes you happy.
But every time I hit a milestone, every time I accomplish something, I want to tell you about it. I want you to be proud of me.
Yet whenever we see each other- twice a year at the most- we just try our best to avoid eye contact.
I look up to you so much. You're brave, rebellious, tattooed and employed, you ran away from home-- out of the damn country at the aged of 18, for gods sake-- and are still one of the most successful people I know.
I want to be able to pick up my phone and call you, for advice or just to talk… but I don't have your number. I want to see you more, but the family's making that hard. I know, you're like 35 now and everything's tough on the both of us, but… I really miss you. You did introduce me to Nutella, after all. Not to mention the fact that you had the bedroom right under mine.
