#10 Read-a-thon: Mad Libs

Mad Libs, that fun game where you collect random words BEFORE you know the story!

How to play:

1. First, leave a comment letting me know you want to play AND pick a number 1-5
2. I will then PM you your list of words. You will want to re-post them in our thread and update your list as you find the words.

Your list of words will looking something like:

1. plural noun
a.
b.

2. number
a.

3. adverb
a.
b.

You will use your books to gather random words to fill your list! You won't know what your story is so the goofier and more random your words, the funner your story will be!

3. PM me when you are done collecting your words and I will send your story.
You will replace all capitalized/underlined words with your found words.

4. Then post your story with your completed words and books you read so others can enjoy your story!

A Few Quick Tips

* You can find words using book title or finding them inside of a book
* You can use as many or few books to complete one mad lib as you want
* You may play more than one Mab Libs game

How to Cross a Piranha-Infested Water

If you are traveling in AFGHANISTAN and find yourself having to cross piranha-filled river, here's how to do it WELL.

Piranha's are more ENOURMOUS during the day, so cross the river at night.

Avoid areas with netted SHEEP traps - piranha's may be TEACHING, looking to APPROACH them.

When IGNORING the river, swim PROUDLY. You don't want to wake them up and make them SELFISH.

Whatever you do, if you have an open wound, try to find another way to get back to TAVERN. Piranha's are attracted to fresh LIQUOR and will most likely take a bit out of your HEAD if you SLEEP in the water. (hide spoiler)]

Okay, here's my story. It's story number 3.

An amusement park is always fun to visit on a hot summer TEMPLE. When you get there, you can wear your TUNIC and go for a swim.

And there are lots of PRICEY things to eat. You can start off with a PARANOID dog on a DEMON with mustard, relish, and FLOORS on it. Then you can have a buttered ear of PEACH TREE with a nice RELIGIOUS slice of CHEESE and a bottle of cold RUM. When you are full, it's time to go to the roller coasters, which should settle your EYES.

Other amusement park rides are the bumper cars, which have little STREETS that you can drive and run in to other ASTRONOMERS. There is also the merry go round, where you can sit on a big STARFISH and try to grab the gold KNIFE as you ride past. (hide spoiler)]

A very Book-ish Mad Libs

(view spoiler)[There are many FEW ways to choose a PERSON to read. First, you ask for recommendations from your friends and BABOONS. Just don't ask Aunt WET LINDSAY - she only reads RED books with GOWN ripping goddesses on the cover. If your friends and family are no help, try checking out the LOOS Review in The COOL CITY Times. If the KNICKERS featured there are too NICE for your taste, trying something a little more low STUPID, like I: The Celebrity Magazine or LAVATORIES Magazine. You could also choose a book the ODD fashioned way. Or you could save yourself a whole lot of DARK trouble and go to the library and ask a HUNKY to help. With all the time you'll save, you can read two more books! (hide spoiler)]

And there are lots of IDIOTIC things to eat. You can start off with a/an INVISIBLE dog on a/an GHOST with mustard, relish, and BUTTERFLIES on it. Then you can have a buttered ear of BED with a nice NAKED slice of FROSTED FLAKES and a bottle of cold BEER. When you are full, it's time to go to the roller coasters, which should settle your TONGUE.

Other amusement park rides are the bumper cars, which have little BARS that you can drive and run in to other BOTTLES. There is also the merry go round, where you can sit on a big DOG and try to grab the gold GUITAR as you ride past.

Amusement Parks Story 2:

An amusement park is always fun to visit on a hot summer WHISTLE. When you get there, you can wear your BRA and go for a swim.

And there are lots of SEXY things to eat. You can start off with a/an AGITATED dog on a/an BOWL with mustard, relish, and SHOULDERS on it. Then you can have a buttered ear of CONVERTIBLE with a nice BREATHLESS slice of CEREAL and a bottle of cold GASOLINE. When you are full, it's time to go to the roller coasters, which should settle your NOSE.

Other amusement park rides are the bumper cars, which have little QUARTERS that you can drive and run in to other BRICKS. There is also the merry go round, where you can sit on a big WHALE and try to grab the gold BASEBALL BAT as you ride past.

Is Space Travel Possible?

When people being STALKING in outer space, they will have to spend 8 years just getting to the nearest solar system, called EMMETT. At first, travelers will probably be frozen and put in a/an DRESSER. Then, when the ship arrives, the travelers will be RATTLED.

Eventually scientists may invest a/an SEASHELL transporter like the one they used on the tv show "PICKUP Trek." It will break down all the parts of the human POKER into atoms TOYS. Then these will be broadcast like HYSTERICAL TV waves and reassemble 35,000 miles away. If this doesn't work, engineers are EXPLODING now trying to perfect a/an SCALDING drive that will run a spaceship faster than the speed of BIKES. But, of course, scientists such as ADDISON say this is a lot of HORSE wash. So maybe humans should forget space travel and try to solve the MELODRAMATIC traffic problems on earth. (hide spoiler)]
