Hi i'm Erin. I'm between books and just picked up "The More of Less" by Joshua Becker. I am going to wait until Saturday to crack the cover! I am not a fast reader and prefer non-fiction but am hoping to find some interesting reads from fellow participants.
Hi I'm Kari and I'm reading The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well as well as The Gardener's Son.
Hi..I'm JudiCurrently I'm reading "This People We Hate at the Wedding " by Grant Ginder. Like it so far...a great summer read. Just finished "The Woman Next Door" by Cass Green. Liked it.
Hi, I'm Anne and I just finished Saints for all Occasions and will be starting The Heirs tonight. Looking forward to suggestions for the summer.
Hi, I'm Laurie. About 150 pages left in The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. by Neal Stephenson and Nicole Galland. If you like sci fi and aren't turned off by 700+ pages, I highly recommend. Time travel, history, magic, world building, great characters, satire.
Hi, I'm Jennifer. I just finished Sycamore by Bryn Chancellor last night and I'm listening to Into the Water in my car. In the next day or two I'm going to start one of two books, Lincoln in the Bardo or On the Run: Fugitive Life in an American City.

You'll have to let me know what you think.
Bridget here - about halfway through The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingslover (for my book club) - I've read almost everything by her, but somehow missed this one - beautifully written and still a powerful message for 2017, even though it came out in 1988!
Jennifer signing in - am nearly done with the Audible version of Mustache Shenanigans: making Super Troopers and other adventures in Comedy.
Hi, I'm Abi and I just 30 seconds ago finished 'Salem's Lot. It was great! I'm sad I waited so long to read it. I'm also about halfway through Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, hope to finish tht one this weekend if there's time. :)
I'm using my Goodreads handle here: Mirkat. Just started
The Woman in Cabin 10
a couple of days ago. Wish I could use it as my first book. :(

Hello new friends, I'm Beth and I just started reading, "Small Admissions." I'm looking forward to reading with you!
Hey, just wanted to double check on something--I think in one of the threads, I read that books we read for the summer reading program are to be started today (6/24) or after. However, in the other thread--the one with suggested titles to go with each week's theme--week #1 (beach reads) is listed as 7/3-7/9. So do we start our beach reads now or 7/3? Is 7/3 when we begin discussing those books?
Lexi (Alex to some); Currently reading Elin Hilderbrand's new book "The Identicals." I got addicted to her Nantucket books.

Hi, I am excited to begin my summer reading. Right now, I am reading Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. It is a good read. I used to be in a Book Club and everyone got so busy that it disbanded. I enjoyed reading different books that I may not have been introduced to without the group suggesting them. I also enjoyed discussing the books afterward, even though, as many of you may have experienced, we sometimes quickly moved onto chatting about other things besides the book. But, we did discuss the books first and it was great to hear other perspectives on the aspects of the books. So, I am hoping to see many suggestions of books to read to expand my selection.
Hi! Just signed my ten year old up for summer reading and now I am too. Currently reading The Handmaidens Tale. Also reading The Secrets We Keep (free from Amazon prime!)
Hi I'm Abby. Currently reading the Handmaids Tale.... also reading The Secrets We Keep (free pick from Amazon Prime!)
Hello, I'm Elizabeth and I just finished Olive Kitteredge yesterday. Next up, The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.
hi, Joyce here and don't know when I'll have the time but going to play along, currently reading Great Expectations (been on a Dickens kick, love those free classics); but going to choose something new, for the sake of this summer reading program. Scratching my head, see what's available later...
Started graphic novel Bitch Planet II: President Bitch and Old Man's War by John Scalzi. That was a free download from Tor books & has been on my list for awhile. My beach read request is in transit.
Hi, I'm Lily, and I just finished "Leonard McCoy, Frontier Doctor" and man was it a delightful graphic novel (if you like Trek, of course!)
Hello, I'm Alexandria (22) and I'm currently reading..."Everybody Lies: Big Data, New Data, and what the internet can tell us about who we really are." by Seth Stephens-Davidowitz
great non-fiction by a google data scientist.
Kelsey wrote: "Kelsey, and I just finished You Don't Have to Say you Love Me by Sherman Alexie. I'm in the process of finding a new book to read !"I heard an NPR interview with this author recently and I would like to read this book this summer. He seems like quite the haunted, yet inspiring poet.
Hello, I am Tiffany... I am currently reading "I will always write back: how one letter changed two lives." I recently finished "Invincible Summer" by Alice Adams.
My name is Cassie, and I just finished the Handmaid's Tale. I'm starting 11/22/63, and I'll probably read some smaller books on the side.
To everyone who signed up so far-- thanks so much, we are so happy to have you! And you are all reading such interesting and varied things-- I think it's going to be a fun summer. Just so I don't feel left out, I'll tell you all that I am (re-)reading A Suitable Boy-- which is wonderful.
