I've found in most paranormal romance the romance is quite over-the-top, LOL nobody is more ridiculously romantic than a vampire ;-)

hahaha good point Berit. It tends to be more the females I hate they start out strong then become simpering idiots by just looking at a male. I love a strong sassy female character.

My issue is that I don't know any teenagers that talk like that, and if I would have heard that when I was younger I would have had to slap them. Is it really worth it when they have like 16 books in the series?

ALSO my librarians now hate me lol. I was babysitting an hour from home, and I made it back with TWO minutes before they closed at 6pm. I had sent 17 books from other libraries to my library and I didn't want to wait to get them tomorrow. They had turned off the computers and were so mad.

But I was thinking... you have the best and easiest job in the world, I never get out on time at my job ever, you can stay five minutes past six. Crabby old old women.

Every time I'm going to start reading something, if I don't have a buddy read planned I look to see if there is already a buddy read for that book. :)

Yeah I try that too but I try to go through what's unread on my shelf rather than go out and buy new ones (as much as I'd love to) so most of my books aren't 'up to date' 😂

Yeah I understand that, I realized looking over the 113 books I've read this year... 61 I borrowed from the library... So I'm kind of kicking myself. I want to get my owned books read!

What's everyone up to? How's your reading going? I'm doing my best to read through my books, unfortunately I'm in a bit of a slump. I've been really into manga so I've been rushing through those, and trying to get myself to read novels.

I just had to get through the vampire Lestat, I always get caught in old English books... just not my thing. But now I am back to my house of night series...still awesome to me.

I'm onto my second book of the legend series with Ginger. I have also thrown in a historical romance just for a change.

I think I only have one more buddy read which comes up at the end of the month as it has not been released yet.

Thriftbooks & Bookoutlet , those two have used books online for SO cheap, and Amazon is always cheaper than cover price.

I miss buying books :'(

Yeah me too, I loved the trilogy. They were just cute. But I can understand why Lara Jean might not be everyone's favorite.
