Yeah .. not that I like to keep it to myself, but I know I'll get some really funny stares and comments ..
i have several deja vu moments...i tend to announce them to my friends...they don't believe me though, which is annoying
I get deja vu about everyday. at first i thought they were weird, but now i just consider them normal.
people don't understand it. im goth but no way on earth do i worship Satan. i stick to my christians beliefs. and then when i tell people that, they stare at me like i'm crazy. (frowns) i'd love to know who actually started everything with goths being evil. that way i can slap him...or her.
I honestly think it came from a lot of things .. and yes, sometimes I feel that way about those people too. A lot of kids lately have had the bizarre notion that I lead Satanic rites and all that fuss ..
I used to be a Christian briefly -- I like the religion still, and have fond memories of sitting down in prayer. The one thing that a lot of people don't get is how Goths come from many different backgrounds -- I know Jewish Goths, Goths from India, African American Goths .. it irks me when people say "oh, Goth is racist" or "oh, Goth is only meant for Caucasian people" ... I love diversity, and it's wonderful to have it in our subculture too. Without it, we'd all be the same, boring people -- and that's no fun, now is it? ;)
i totally agree with you being the same is really boring, it's like going to a prep school where you have to wear uniforms everyday. Clothing expresses you and if you just wear a uniform then how are you supposed to feel like yourself?
I love to make my own clothes -- it makes you feel good when someone asks "where you bought it" :)Does anyone else make clothing? It takes time, and projects can be much more difficult than you originally thought. Honestly though, I'm kind of sick of the girls in my class talking about where they got their $300 outfits. Sheesh people .. I'd rather raid the thrift stores than pay a bunch of green bucks for someone's name.
That's alright .. I learned how to sew in art class in elementary (Gawd, I still miss my carefree elementary days!)Speaking of clothes, I had to have another talk about "personal appearance" with one of the school administrators today .. sigh.
I'm also getting a Mohawk, but I'm scared that the school will think it's a "gang symbol" -- lately, the school has seen Mohawks as "gang symbols" -- it's shitty. I'm proud to say that I don't support any gangs (nor do I want to in the future), but I've been pretty ticked at the school right now >:(
Alwell ..
hey im new and all...............

Hi! I'm Shadowcat, and I may or may not be Goth. I love the style of art, clothing, and things, and I thhink I probabl WOULD be goth if I had any money to spend on nice clothes.....what could I do to make my own slightly gothic clothes? Thanks!!
People think we're evil because we wear black and a whole lot of makeup, but the truth is, we're just very creative in a very good way <3 People are just jealous that we're so beautiful and they're not... inside and out.
Personally, I blame the media. They love to sensationalize EVERYTHING and soon as a troubled kid in a trench coat shoots up a school, all of a sudden we're looking into what music this person liked and what subculture they might be a part of...and all black seems to instantly mean Goth to the media. So they assume as Goths are violent psychopaths. Or because one black-clad kid murdered his parents in the name of Satan, suddenly we're all devil worshipers. And people blindly believe the media reports rather than taking the time for themselves to get to know people as, you know, PEOPLE.
