Should this book be made into a movie?

So, this book has been such an inspiration and influence on me as well as a many other people. With the popularity of other YA novels surfacing in Hollywood, why can't "Cameron Post" be one of them? We need more LGBT representation in our media, especially in young adult media. I always thought that this book would make an amazing, powerful movie.

Yes cause it was a very controversial book. I may like it better than the novel.
It'd be interesting to see how they'd condense the two long, distinct times/settings into a movie. I loved this book, though - I'd love to see it as a movie.
A movie would kill it,
too much there, too well done in print
perhaps a nice HBO series. Yeah. That might work. Sucks though. I got showtime and stars. :(
