The h is a hollywood actress and she has relatives who are in the showbiz as well. She's divorced and the ex-hubby was an actor too! I think the stort started out with the h wanting to repair her reputation, she wanted to be taken seriously for a role that she really really wants to land. She hired a pr person and this pr person hired someone to pretend to be the h's boyfriend. They were supposed to meet at a halloween costume party hosted by the h's (i think) brother who's a rockstar (he has his own book) but the h and the hired bf weren't able to meet beforehand so the only thing the h knew was that the hired bf will be wearing a Batman costume, they have to kiss and then someone will snap a picture. The party started and the h saw a Batman and thought that he's pretty hot and assumed that that's the hired bf. She kissed him...don't know what happened next..h realizes that it was not the hired bf but she had to stick with the story. They ended up going to LA together. They stayed at her brother's mansion. Things happened. The h was framed for the murder of her ex husband.
The H, being that he's a cop and he was assigned in ghe precinct where the h was being held...went there and interrogated the h. At first the h thought that he'll take her side but when she realized that the H believed that she had something to do with the crime, she clammed up and told him to leave. The reason why the H had a hard time believing the h was innocent was because every evidence pointed to her. He did eventually crack the case but they ended up still parting ways.
Anyways here are a few spoilers. I don't know exactly where they fit on the story so... i'll just list them...
(view spoiler)[the H's ex gf wants to live the city life... or it could be that she wanted to be in hollywood too? I just remember that the reason why the H doesn't want to love the h was because he thinks she's just like his ex (hide spoiler)]
