Nate and Juliana take a major step forward in their relationship. Were you surprised to learn they'd stepped away from each other for the past two years? Your thoughts about their romance?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments Not at all. I knew that would happen. Juliana had yet to climb out of her grief over her dead husband and child. Nate was wonderful and patient to wait her out.

Laura Yes, I was shocked. I think the previous books lead us to believe they were a couple.

I couldn't believe they'd gone two years!

I love their relationship. He admires this woman and waited patiently for her to catch up to him. It was pretty funny to have Johnny be the one to give Nate a push.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I also thought they were in a relationship and was surprised to find out that they weren't. I like them together and wish Cindy Gerard could have built up the separation in the last few books rather than not even mention it. I think that would have had me rooting for them more.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I didn't realize they had only been together once, as we had read earlier. I was disappointed that Juliana was holding back, and that Nate faithfully stood by showed his grit.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments Didn't we all read the same books? Juliana was wracked with guilt over that very hot love scene with Nate and told him it was wonderful, but not happening again. I also wanted them to stay together, but come on, that would have been too easy. I also loved that Johnny was pushing them together.

Yeah, but you're the only one that believed her:)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments It would have been just to easy otherwise.
