3/4: (view spoiler)[I guessed at Katie's relationship with her teacher due to his being termed the handsome, young teacher multiple times previously. I didn't guess at the multitude of other twists that have occurred in the last 75 pages, or so. It felt like the mysteries were wrapping up, towards the middle of the novel, and they had to some extent but this next section has showed how twisted the narrative actually is! I am loving this even more than The Girl on the Train. (hide spoiler)]

4/4: (view spoiler)[This novel blew me up for 3/4 of it and then the last section just really felt flat, following that. Everything discussed in the last 50 or so pages were already known to the reader, through the multitude of differing perspectives, if not known to all the characters. This last section felt more like rehashing known events for each individual rather than providing anything new for the reader. Evn Sean's grand reveal was anti-climatic as I had already guessed at his involvement. This was, up to the point, a 5 star read but the ending has dropped it to a solid 4 stars. Still a great read but just lacking a little, towards the end. (hide spoiler)]

There are already a lot of characters introduced, a bit confusing - I have no clue who the people are that are at the top of the page in each chapter. It definitely feels like Nel had something to do with the death of Katie - or maybe even abused her?, since Josh his parents seemed happy that she was dead..? Mark was acting weird about the book that Nel was writing, so I feel like he was behind most of the deaths in the water? Not sure, he's shady though. Since he said something about Lena keeping true to her word and hiding stuff, I feel like he abused her or something? Not sure, but everyone so far is shady!! Jules is seriously crazy isn’t she, wtf? The way she acted with the identification was seriously crazy. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I just don’t love Paula Hawkins her writing style; the foreshadowing is immense but I’m just like “my stars just tell us what the freak you’re talking about instead of scooting around the subject”. I don’t know, I just don’t love that. I feel like Jules was abused/raped, maybe even by that boyfriend guy of Nel, Nel definitely had something to do with her drowning. How old is Jules again? She’s like a freaking child and definitely crazy with the way she’s still talking to Nel. Her obsession with the bracelet is intense too, wouldn’t be surprised if she was behind it all. And now she has boulimia out of nowhere too???? The skating around the issue is driving me freaking mental. I have a feeling some huge rape plot has been going on: it sounds like Lena was raped, and Nel knew about it, and maybe Katie as well? Probably by that teacher guy. Idk. Maybe I’m just dark. Nope, I’m now sure that Sean is behind Nel's death. The fingerprints on the pill bottle are the same as on the camera, and someone touched them both? Well, he was quite quick to say Louise, but he touched it too. I just know it’s him. Aaaah so the teacher guy (Mark?) was in love with Katie, he didn't just rape her. Hmm. Shady. Oh damn, is Lena dead?? The plot thickens, but I just want to know what happened! It’s dragging on too long. (hide spoiler)]

Patrick is one JERK of a guy wtf. The psychological way he keeps attacking people, I hope he dies. The Lena and Mark scene was so freaking weird???? Is he dead or not??? Just freaking tell us already argh. She went real psycho.

I don’t believe that Patrick did it, that would be the most obvious and worst plot ever. I do believe that he killed Lauren of course, but not Nel. That’s just bullshit, I’m still set on Sean. Everyone is just so shady and crazy as fuck. (hide spoiler)]
