Theresa Romain | 420 comments A week or two ago, I picked up The Baron Next Door by Erin Knightley and The Troublemaker Next Door by Marie Harte. Only once I got home did I realize I had a neighbor theme going on. :) I'm reading those this week, starting with the Harte.

I am about half way through The Accidental Duchess by Madeline Hunter. So far I find the heroine really unpleasant. I'm curious whether anyone else has the same reaction.

Marita (bluestockingandproud) | 43 comments I've just got into the Plum Orchard series by Dakota Cassidy. ADORED the introductory novella, hated the H of Book 1 and am now enjoyably ensconced with Book 2 (which is the book that originally got me interested in the series). There's so many tiny mentions of side characters that make you NEED to know their stories; the sequel bait is practically dripping from the book's pages :D Not that I mind-I think this is one of those series where you might not love every book or every main character, but you still love the underlying premise and the world that's been built enough to keep reading.

It's on my TBR, Deb, but I haven't been able to read it yet. I'll let you know when I get to it. I'm usually pretty forgiving of her difficult heroines, though.

Uh oh! I remember thinking she was...odd in the first book but figured MH would make it work. Now I'm curious!

Romanticbookworm | 77 comments I finished The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E Smith this morning which I loved and plan to read more of the author's work soon.

I am now well into The Fault In Our Stars by John Green which I am really enjoying so far :).

Does anyone know this book...He is a vengeful pirate who kidnaps a woman from an island in the middle of a ball, he takes her to his ship and demands answers which she won't give him, he then lets her go only to return months later as a lord. I can't recall who wrote it and it is driving me mad. Thanks.

Irisheyes | 896 comments Just finished I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND by Marie Force - Book 2 in her Green Mountain series. I really liked it. I liked the central romance between Nolan and Hannah, but I also loved the world she has created. I fell in love with them all in her first book in the series, ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. She has introduced the whole Abbott family and given them all a distinct personality. She's also given us little glimses into future couples and it's really fun to watch all the different relationships unfold. I can't wait to read about all the siblings. What's amazing is that she's done all of this without taking away from the primary relationship. She has found a really great balance.

That's not the first Gaelen Foley book in the series about the children of a duchess--each child having a different father--is it? Can't think of the title but I know the first one has a pirate hero turned nobleman.

Irish, that Marie force series sounds good. I'll have to try it:)

@Manda @Marnie The series about the Duchess having several children by different fathers is the Knight Miscellany. I think you might have been thinking about Gaelen Foley's Ascension series instead? The first book in that one The Pirate Prince (Ascension Trilogy #1) by Gaelen Foley seems to fit the description.

That's the one I was thinking of, Marita!

Thank you all so much but would you believe today I have had a recommended read from Amazon and it was the book I was looking for, it's Jennifer Ashley's The Pirate Hunter's Lady. Phew. Thanks again.

Thanks Manda, This series looks good, it starts with The Pirate next door and then continues with different pirates but they are all connected somehow. Got to love a pirate.
