I'm looking for a book that I read in 2001-4. It was about a trucker who was cursed by a demon after he slept with a lot lizard. He also ran over a baby after the mayor of a town rolled it into the street. There was a plot twist involving the mayor and the lizard, but I'd rather not give it away in case anyone solves my dilemma.
If anyone knows what I'm talking about, or even has an inkling, it would be greatly appreciated.
