Yes, I'll do that!

I've already found two errors with Goodreads having the wrong original publication date, so you might want to double check as it turns out I've read from more years than I thought!

That's a good idea, thanks. I sorted them, and it was really interesting to see which years came up. I've covered most of the 20th century (that was a surprise!) but I do have some gaps, haha, especially in the 19th century and before. :)

Nadja It's funny how things can turn out totally different than expected. After suggesting the "year you haven't read from yet" prompt I was worried people would find it too easy to fulfill. ;)

But even if turns out to be in the bottom 4.. to know that many members sorted their shelfs and looked for the gaps and maybe even inspired some to do a own longer challenge as Katie is great!

In general I love how the suggested prompts inspire us to analyse our read or TBR or other bookshelves!

Bec | 1341 comments Ahhh now I know the potential topics it's changing the way I'm thinking of books for this year. I had The Night Circus down for something for this year but may just wait to see if the circus prompt wins for next year and wait if it does :)

message 56: by Silvia (new)

Silvia Turcios | 1058 comments I was thinking on The Night Circus too in case that suggestion is chosen. I read Water for Elephants and it was great, just in case you want to think in other options ;)

Maple (maplerie) | 1025 comments Geek Love is also a great book that would work for the circus prompt. It's a bit odd (not a love story, per say), but it is just really good!

Sam | 316 comments I really like the idea of "A book that intimidates/ scares you", but it also intimidates / scares me, which I suppose is entirely the point...

Nicole Sterling | 452 comments What time zone do the moderators go by? I mean, the 1st mini-poll is supposed to end & results should be revealed on June 16th. Since we have members from all over the world, can you tell us when June 16th is for you, or what time in your time zone you usually post the results? I'm just so excited that we're so close!!! :)

Oh I hear you....I'm in Australia and 16th June comes around quicker here...I'm usually having to wait another day for results.

message 61: by Silvia (new)

Silvia Turcios | 1058 comments Poor you, Bec! I just checked, it's already 2:25pm in Australia and I thought I was suffering because I usually have to wait until noon in Norway, really : Poor you :(

message 62: by Erica (new)

Erica | 555 comments Yeah, I'm in China and I usually have to wait a day too.

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) I am pretty sure that Laura uses EST for the polls. As I write this, it is officially the 16th, but it is only 6:42am EST. Last year the poll results tended to go up around 10 am roughly. It depends on how busy (or sleepy) the mods are :-)

I will try to stagger the suggestions so that others have a chance suggest. It also helps that we now have a mod in New Zealand so we can get some started in what is the middle of the night for me ;)

But as far as the results go, they will be posted around 7-8am EST pretty consistently.

Katie-I have War and Peace and The Count of Monte Cristo on my list of books to read this year. It is scary to me that the year is almost half finished!!
