Ms. Marvel: Generation Why (Volume 2) by Willow G. Wilson ★★★½

This is probably more 3.5 stars because I think I'm in the minority who didn't like this one as much as the first one, but I still enjoyed it enough to round it up rather than down. I really liked the first part with Kamala meeting Wolverine, since that's pretty much how I would act if I met my heroes lol. It felt pretty realistic and I could live vicariously through her!

It was really the second part I had trouble with. I mean, I didn't have trouble with the message they were going for. But they were just hitting us over the head so much with it that it ended up feeling kind of contrived, and the whole ~working together to bring down the bad guy really made the ending feel less exciting and epic. I was expecting an exciting battle and all a la normal comic book expectations, so I felt a little underwhelmed by it.

I also really missed Kamala's interactions with her community and family. I was really into that in the first book cause they were really what made her relatable to me, and we barely got that in this volume, so I didn't feel as close to her as I did before. But I do still love her and her story and struggles a lot. I think she's an awesome superhero and I am excited to continue her adventures.
