John | 42 comments I indeed am not going to die in three months but several years ago, I did think that was the case. I will always remember my frantic longing to find what to read, Well the answer of course was that I read nothing, Had no time to do such. SO THIS IS NOT WORKING OUT SO WILL CHANGE TOPIC after all it is my topic. So what 5 books would you want to have with you if your were stranded on an island alone for the rest of your life. corny huh?? well , I do not have my answer but will have fun thinking about it the next few hours. perhaps the BUTCHER BOY or THE WOODS COLT would be on my list. LES MISERABLES??

Lin | 266 comments I can not begin to contemplate only having five books to choose from. Would have to get busy. trying to find a way to start writing some myself, lol

John | 42 comments I did come up with one if the complete works of William Shakespear could be in one volume and an other if the same could be found for Charles Dickens.

K | 286 comments I'd read as many of my Doctor Who books as I could. Even the ones I've already read. Lol

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) This is such a tough question. My ESV Study bible is the only easy one. I love books but hard to pick top favorites and only four left? Eek. It would nice to have a mix of genre, and keep the books as long as possible.

K C Smith | 26 comments For me, it would involve as much variety as possible. Everyone from Jane Austen to Stephen King to Maya Angelou to Roald Dahl to Harper Lee (wouldn't take long with her) to Jonathan Franzen.

Melissa | 363 comments If I can only take 5 then I am going for the "door stopper" books!

I know I would take Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, that way I would have a story as well as all the short tales told/recited by the people in the book so if I just want to read those for a change. Its like having 2 books in one.

Chris Three months to live means I'm not reading; I'm going on as many adventures as I possibly can. Stuck on a deserted island these would be my five choices:

1. Island Survival Book tailored to what ever region I'm stuck in

2. Meditations by Marcus Aurelius

3. Once an Eagle by Anton Myrer

4. Lone Survivor The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10 by Marcus Luttrell

5. Romance of some sort if stuck on island alone

**Books 4 and 5 subject to replacement with the two largest books ever made if in need of paper to use for fire.

I have no idea if I could choose just five but I would hope to get to read Written in My Own Heart's Blood before I was stranded. I havent bought the book yet but I plan to as soon as possible.
