I could barely get through My Favorite Half-Night Stand. I was holding out hope that The Unhoneymooners would be back on track...

Shit, I'm not reading that spoiler, but that makes me nervous AF, I wasn't impressed with My Favorite Half Night Stand or Love and Other Words.

Thank you, Ela! I wish I could get a written form of those because I can't listen to podcasts! Grrr

Though, uh... did she mention when From the Grave is coming out? I might as well be greedy and ask for it all.

Jean | 1658 comments Oh sorry guys, yes, I am Auto Approved for that publisher. Didn't even realize it! Hopefully, your request will be approved!

message 179: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments And it's a shame because I have tons of books from NG that I just can't get to......and now I'm fighting with Amazon to return The Kiss Thief that I bought back in January!

I was confused as to why it just popped up on there now when it was released in January. I actually already read it...I just clicked on it out of curiousity.

Ela | 4291 comments I've notice they do that a lot but usually with books they need ratings on.

That makes sense. But yeah this one has 1700 ratings and a high average...oh well.

message 184: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments I got it! What an easy review since I read the book and loved it.

message 185: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Wow, that was a quick approval!! And you loved it? Guess I'll have to move it up on my TBR!

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments I get a similar message every single time I try for an ARC!

message 191: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments I often get that message from that same publisher, yet others just approve easily. Guess it all depends on the audience they are going for....assholes!!!!

message 192: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments I get that message too for a lot of books. There really seems to be no rhyme or reason. I've gotten a book from an author and then declined another book by the same author. My percentage rating is so low on NG for the amount of books approved and ones I've read and reviewed so I'm sometimes surprised when I do get a good one! I'm afraid they're gonna cut me off at some point if i don't read more of the approvals. I usually read the books by more popular authors right away and submit review. Just keep requesting, that's what I did and eventually got auto approved to some publishers.

I got that today too, for the Briggs book. Oh well.

message 194: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Yep, the Briggs book! AND the one I just requested that sounded really good.

message 195: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments I was denied the Briggs book too. And a P. Dangelico book (Nothing but Trouble) which I really WANTED!! I've gotten other books by her from NG and reviewed them. See, no rhyme or reason....

I am just finishing What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon. It is AMAZING AND HEARTBREAKING! It's still available for request if anyone is interested!

message 196: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments For anyone who loved The Martian.... there's one on NG right now for request which looks really good!!! The Last Astronaut by David Wellington
