Ooh, if I post my reviews, maybe I can start getting books! I haven’t had time to read any other Netgalley ones yet, but I have 2 I’m planning to read this month.
Renee ❤️My heroes are ordinary wrote: "Ooh, if I post my reviews, maybe I can start getting books! I haven’t had time to read any other Netgalley ones yet, but I have 2 I’m planning to read this month."I took the easy way out and posted quotes from the books!
I wondered how you did it so quick, Ela. You’re brilliant! I’ve got that Cowboy erotica book, which is kinda short and
, which I really want to read. But I’ll definitely do the Charles Davidson books!
Ela, here is my response from GR:Hi Jean,
Thanks for reaching out. If you were previously declined for a title, but then the publisher made the title READ NOW, your declined status still holds. The only way to override this is if the publisher sends you a widget invite for the title - you can request a widget if you're already in contact with the publisher.
I'm not sure how to do that. Any ideas?

Well that makes no sense what so ever....

I'm taking a chance and emailed St. Martin's Press...asking for this widget invite.
I got book by S.C. Stephens through NetGalley this weekend.....it's called Under the Northern Lights. It was Read Now for me.......not sure if it will be for all of you, but you should try getting it. Sounds good!

Thank you Jean! Though I probably won't get it after not taking the only book I've been offered, but have to try!
Whelp, that was quick. I was approved for the Christina Lauren book. Gah, I have. So. Many. Netgalleys I have to read right now. 🙈
Ugh, Grey I didn't get approved yet. Probably because I haven't read anything they've given me lately!
Jean wrote: "I have a lot too Grey! And this one just went up for request: The Unhoneymoon by Christina Lauren"Very quick approval!
UGHHHHH I say discrimination:Request notification from Orion Publishing Group.
Dear Reader,
Thank you for your request for one of Orion Publishing’s ARCs. We are afraid that, in this instance, your request has been declined. You have most likely been declined for one or more of the following reasons:
- Your profile is too sparse on details - We can’t find out why you’ve requested a free copy. Read these tips on how to update your profile (https://netgalley.zendesk.com/hc/en-u...), and please remember to give the name of the blog, publication, bookshop or library that you work for (preferably with a link).
- We have reached our limit for approvals for this title.
Thank you very much for thinking of us,
The Orion Publishing Team

I can't find time to read/rate enough NetGalley books to make it where they'd ever fulfill one of my requests, but I just had to mention this since it was originally on NetGalley and some of you received it.
I requested
Daisy Jones and the Six on NetGalley (dream on 🙄), and I've just now entered the SIXTH giveaway on GR. I know I'll never win it, but I keep hoping. I'm just dying to read that book! 😭

Sadly I was approved for that book and was really disappointed, it just wasn't what I expected of this author.
Oh lucky you Tessa, my request has not been approved yet!Renee, hate to tell you I received a copy through NetGalley and won a paperback from Goodreads.......still haven't read it yet. I didn't really know what it was about until after I got it and then wasn't sure if I'd like it...... Still, keep signing up for those giveaways. I've won 3 books on GR already!
(Ela, that's kinda what I was afraid of....)

Jean, I won a copy of DJATS through a GR giveaway and read it week before last. I really enjoyed it. I definitely think you have to go into it knowing it's not like TJR's past books. It's a unique read and not a traditional love story. I know it's getting mixed reviews. I prepared myself that it wasn't going to be her "typical" read and I think that's why I liked it so much. This book was truly original. I felt that the time period and everything about the characters really felt authentic. I wasn't a fan of the "interview" format it is written in but that even grew on me as I continued reading. Just thought I'd encourage you to give it a go when you get a chance.
Grey wrote: "I was approved for Storm and Fury...but I haven't read it yet..."It's awesome. It's about the guy she didn't pick in her gargoyle series. I really liked the hero she didn't pick. Literally couldn't choose either way, so I enjoyed him getting a story.
