It is about a girl who lives on a planet.. The race of people (if i recall correctly) can not be mentally manipulated.. She is a Pshycic and her comrades on the planet fear her. They keep her to herself and away from children. But She had a vision of a man coming to her planet and he looked right at her in the vision she had of him. He is a bald man , very muscular, and his skin is like a lizards ( She has to oil it regularly when she goes to his planet) . He has no hair on his body.

She goes to meet him on her planet and offers herself as his bride. His species is trying to find other species' as brides because the women of his kind, their fertility period is extremely short. He accepts her and he cuts his palm and makes her lick the blood and has her to the same and he licks her blood.

He takes her back onto his planet and puts her into a homeostasis type rest because her body wouldn't be able to handle the heat of his ship. She also has a robot companion. The man doesn't like that robot at all (robot is a woman who was programmed to protect the girl under a false mission to get information of the man's species). Robots name is Maxine ( After the maker)

She has long red hair and he loves it.

She saves a boy from falling off a cliff and dying.

His kind also keeps slaves and she resents him for it.

She has to work in the kitchens and is abused because of who she is. She asks him to transfer her to working with kids and she loves it because she couldn't on her home planet.

Her brother comes to the planet and causes a bunch of trouble for her and her husband (who she loves at that point)

Also! On her wedding Day she has to wear White ( I think ) and she mentally binds with her husband. She sees everything about his life and he sees everything about hers.

She also meets the goddess of his planet and the goddess gives her a vision of the future because she knows that the girl is a "child" of hers.

Marki--I know this book. Unfortunately, my library is currently packed in 72 boxes, (we've just moved) so I can't go looking for it. But if you want to look through my GR library, I'm almost positive I wrote a review of it. It's actually part of a series. I don't remember if I read any of the others or not.
