Well, I am glad Gabriel decided to do the right thing.
I am getting more and more invested in the main plot now. It was interesting what Mortmain revealed about Tessa and the clockwork angel. I am hoping Charlotte gets the help she needs from the Clave.
And Magnus can open portals because of Henry!! I thought it was already a part of their magic! All those portals they used in TMI, it was all because of Henry!!!
Gideon proposed to Sophie! That whole scene was entertaining. Now I just hope one of them doesn't die, after hearing Bridget's awful song. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I was thinking the same thing about Sebastian. It’s strange that Tessa’s so normal and nice in comparison. I’m glad they finally revealed what Tessa is but it felt a bit anticlimactic to say we’ve waited 2 and a half books.
I’m glad Jem did die. It would’ve felt like a cop out otherwise. It is already weird not hearing from him though. I feel sorry for Will. Hopefully he will find Tessa.

Hmm.. I think you're right about Jem. I just wasn't expecting the author to actually follow through his death since it was being implied from the very beginning. It rarely ever happens in books.

Maybe Sebastian's evil self had to do with how he was raised and not about his blood.
Also, maybe I am forgetting some details, but if Jocelyn, a Marked Shadowhunter, was given demon blood to drink, doesn't that harm Shadowhunters..? Tessa's case makes much more sense because her mother was unmarked. (hide spoiler)]

When I googled it, I came across this answer, though I am not sure if it's answered by the author herself.

"Tessa was born not just because her mother didn’t have Marks, but because her mother wore the Clockwork Angel. Otherwise Tessa would never have been born, since all babies who have a Shadowhunter parent and a demon parent are stillborn.

Jonathan is not half-Shadowhunter and half-demon. He did not have a Shadowhunter parent and a demon parent. He had a Shadowhunter parent and a Shadowhunter parent. Later he got a transfusion of demon blood. Unless you think that people who give you blood transfusions become your parents, Tessa and Sebastian/Jonathan are not at all the same kind of creature, and therefore there is no reason the same rules would apply to them."

I really don’t know about the personality thing either as Jace and Sebastian were raised by the same guy but Jace turned out good and Sebastian bad. Almost everyone who's read this book says the epilogue was the most emotional and heartbreaking part. Maybe because of Will dying...🤷‍♀️ But I honestly didn't feel too bad about it. It was written perfectly.
I am a bit sad for Tessa. She had to see all her loved ones die, while she stayed the same. I would have liked to get a bit more about their children. I think The Dark Artifices trilogy follows them?
Also, is Church, the cat, immortal as well? 😂 I feel stupid for not realizing he was also in TMI until Magnus talks about taking him to New York at the end of this book.
I have too many questions now, about what exactly happened to these characters, and how exactly do TMI characters fit in their family trees?
But overall, I loved this book so much. Definitely one of my favorites! I can't believe the first book from this same trilogy was my biggest disappointment of the year. (hide spoiler)]

I’m looking forward to hearing about their kids if that’s what the dark artifices is about. That’d be cool.
I’d actually forgotten how bad the first book was following that. The first TMI book wasn’t very good either. I hope book 4 isn’t bad considering it’s like another trilogy. (hide spoiler)]
