Quinn and Hikari's Dorm

[Haaley, ᙏoᑯ oƒ ᙏᥲ⳽tᥱɾɩᥒɠ ᙃᥙᥒɠᥱoᥒ⳽]

Quinn's and Hikari's dorm in Niji House. None may enter without their permission.

The room is the size of two bedrooms conjoined and has two sides. Each side has a bed, a desk with a chair, a closet and dresser, and a bedside table. There is a bathroom off to the side.

Cormac followed Quinn through the building and down the hall. Not very many people were around, which meant less people to suspect as blood sucking monsters. It didn't mean he didn't think they were somewhere though. "Cormac. You-goo. Did you hear me? It's right here." She opened the door and stepped inside. "Lots of room," he commented, following closely. He went to the closets and opened each door before going to the bathroom door and checking behind the curtain. "Clear."
Quinn shook her head. "Thank you. But I don't think that's necessary." She put her bags on her bed. The ones that they had sent from the airship were already by her desk. He shrugged and sat down in her chair. "You'll make sure to check them everytime, right? And promise to call?"
She unzipped the largest suitcase and pulled out a yellow comforter and matching sheets. "Yes and yes. Really, you don't have to worry. It's safe here, Cormac. You're acting like mom and dad. And as much as I'm going to miss them, I'm glad to be away from the suffocating protectiveness."
He watched her, agreeing that he was going a little over board. "You're right. I just want you to watch out for yourself."

"I always do," she said. "You should worry more about what you're going to do with Elena." She put the suitcase on the ground. "Help, please," she said, patting the bed. Cormac got up with a grunt and helped her put her bedding down.
"Do you know what you're going to do with Elena?" She asked when they were done. Cormac looked at the floor. "No. I mean, I guess not. I keeping changing my mind. Nothing seems right."
Quinn nodded. "You should sleep on it."

He nodded. "I'll let you finish unpacking," he said. "Make sure to call me if something happens. And go straight to the motel if you can."
Quinn sighed but smiled at him. "I promise I will be fine. I know what to do." She hugged him tightly for a moment then let go and pushed him towards the door. "Straight out. No snooping."
"It's called 'exploring'," He told her, rolling his eyes.
"Right. None of that. I'll see you tomorrow for breakfast." Quinn told him. She watched him walk down the hall and out the common room door before returning to her room to unpack her clothes. When she was finished she flopped on her bed and read through the information in the folder. It was all very interesting but she was bored.
She hadn't been without her friends in a long time. Shaking off the thought, she got up and grabbed her white jacket before picking up the key off the desk.
The lights shut off when she flipped the switch and closed the door behind her.

Quinn and Brandon arrived at her dorm. "This is it," she said, unlocking it and going inside. She did, however, notice that there was another name beside her own now. Hikari.

Hikari finally found her dorm after some time searching and saw two people standing in front of it. She smiled at them. "Hey! I'm Hikari, and I guess you're my dormmate, huh?" She asked Quinn nicely, wanting to make a good first impression. "I hope you don't mind a little extra visitor," She motioned to the Pikachu in her arms.

"Pika!" Lily said happily.

Quinn smiled at the girl slightly. She expected to have at least a little more alone time with Brandon. "Yep, this is my half of the room," she replied. "I'm Quinn Moore. W-what is that?" She asked, cautiously eyeballing the strange creature.

"I like it. You're a very good decorator," She said genuinely, walking over to her own side. "Lily? She's a Pokemon. A Pikachu, to be exact. I have others, but Lily's special to me, so I like to hold her in my arms," She set Lily down on the floor. "And don't worry, she's quiet and well-behaved."

Quinn's timid flight response made her heart beat a little faster as she watched Lily. "I've never seen a Poke-chu."

"A Pikachu? Me neither, until Professor Rowan gave me her. They're not native to Sinnoh, where I live," She started unpacking the rest of her stuff. "He thinks I'm going to find a lot of new Pokemon here, but I doubt it. Doesn't really seem like a place Pokemon would live naturally, you know?"

"I haven't seen any," Quinn said with a shrug. She went over to her student folder and got out the pamphlet for Brandon.

"Hmph," Hikari shrugged as well and unpacked some more stuff, including clothes and her Pokeball. She placed this on her nightstand. "I really hope we can be friends. It would suck to be with a roommate who couldn't stand you, you know?"

Quinn smiled over at her. "Yeah, it would. I'm just kind of busy," she said, gesturing to Brandon. She hoped he wasn't uncomfortable with another new person around.

She noticed Brandon there finally and waved politely. "Hi, I'm Hikari, as you already know,"

Brandon stiffly raised a hand and lowered it again. This girl seemed way more cheery than he was used to at all, so it was a little frightening.

Quinn felt bad. "You're welcome to stay if you like. Or we could meet up later. I'm supposed to do dinner with my cousin in a little bit."

"I'll probably just stay here in my room. Let Lily explore a bit. She hates traveling, but always settles into places really quick," Hikari explained.

"Pika!" Lily chirped.

Quinn didn't look away from Brandon. "Maybe it's best if we plan something for later."

"Like lunch tomorrow? I'm game for that," She suggested nicely.

"Not you," Quinn said, looking over to Hikari.

Brandon shrunk back further. Having two people talking was overwhelming. He didn't know who was talking to him if anyone and he would have rather just disappeard.

"Oh." Her face fell slightly and she busied herself with putting more things away.

"Pika!" Lily managed to climb up on Hikari's bed and curled up in a ball.

Quinn wasn't sure how to deal with the situation. Juggling people had never been a problem until now. "Um... Hold on," she told Hikari. She gently took Brandon's hand and led him to the door. "Do you want to do lunch tomorrow?" she asked after she closed the door behind her. "Sorry for not being able to spend more time now." She handed him the pamphlet.

"U-um, sure....i-if you want," Brandon said, chewing his lip nervously. "I-I could meet you down i-in this common room at lunchtime..."

Hikari finished unpacking everything and put her duffle bag inside her closet as well, listening to their conversation.

Quinn smiled and nodded at him. "Thanks for hanging out with a complete stranger." She winked and reached for the doorknob. "See you tomorrow."

Brandon gave her a shaky smile and nodded as he backed away. "Right, tomorrow..." he said and turned to go.

Quinn smiled at him and waited to go inside until he was gone. After, she opened the door and stepped inside. She saw her new roommate and cleared her throat.

Hikari jumped slightly and looked up from her bed where she was adjusting the pillows. "Yes! What is it?" She asked Quinn nicely.

Quinn walked over to her and held out her hand. "Sorry about that. I'm Quinn Moore."

"I'm Hikari Bayoneta," She shook Quinn's hand gently. "Sorry about that too....I'm not used to the atmosphere of the school yet. It's so much different from Sinnoh,"

Quinn laughed gently. "I agree. This world is very different from my own."

"Back home, everything was smaller. I knew everyone. But here, everything is so much bigger. But I have to say, I'm already happy I chose to come here," She smiled.

Quinn nodded, "Nothing has made me think differently."

"Other than that Brandon guy, have you made any friends here?" She sat down on her bed, making it bounce slightly.

"I haven't had any time," Quinn said. "But the girl in the office was really nice. She's deaf."

"Oh, right! I didn't talk to her because I felt weird. I don't know sign language," She shrugged. "The only other language I know is Pokespeak,"

"It wasn't weird at all," Quinn commented, going to sit in the chair at her desk. "She did a lot of gesturing, rather than sign language but she understood us just fine."

"I just feel awkward around people like that. I'm worried about accidentally hurting their feelings," Hikari explained. She pulled the sleeping Lily into her lap and held her there.

Quinn shrugged. "I should head out. Cormac will worry if I'm late for dinner. You should think about turning in early. Classes start in the morning."

"So soon? But I just got here!" She gasped in surprise. "But I guess it can't be helped," She gently picked Lily up and set her down at the foot of her bed.

"Well students join all year long," Quinn said with a shrug. "I guess the adjustment time is a short one."

Quinn led Ren on a little tour of the entire dorm building before leading him to her room.

Ren followed close, looking around and enjoying the tour immensely. He had never felt such a change in mood from one floor of a building to another.

"Kyuusho is definitely darker than the other houses," Quinn said. "All the heroics tend to happen in Marauders and there's a lot of studying in Xanadu. And down here, we're just nice I guess." She opened her door with her own key.

He nodded, starting to understand how everything worked. "That is okay if you are nice. I appreciate that thoroughly."
