Quinn and Hikari's Dorm

[Haaley, ᙏoᑯ oƒ ᙏᥲ⳽tᥱɾɩᥒɠ ᙃᥙᥒɠᥱoᥒ⳽]

"The house motto is literally accepting everyone that doesn't fit anywhere else," Quinn laughed.

[Lazzeretto]

"That's me." He giggled as he took in the room. " I like your dorm. It's really pretty."

"I bet you can't guess which side is mine," She said, crossing her arms.

[Lazzeretto]

He looked back and forth between the two sides, trying to figure it out. After a minute or two he tapped his wrist, activating a scanner and scanned both sides. "This side, right?' He asked, pointing at her side of the room.

"That is totally cheating!" She said, rolling her eyes. Quinn pointed at the thing and said "Explain."

He laughed. "Explain what?" He replied, tapping his palm. A small butterfly shaped drone appeared and fluttered around Quinn before touching down on her shoulder.

"What is this?" she asked, gesturing to the gadgets.

"Oh, I built them. This is Luna, she is like a small super computer. She can take all sorts of different shapes and forms. The scanner is just an added capacity of my nano-mesh" He said as a grid appeared on his body.

[Haaley, ᙏoᑯ oƒ ᙏᥲ⳽tᥱɾɩᥒɠ ᙃᥙᥒɠᥱoᥒ⳽]

"But how did it tell you this side was mine?" Quinn asked him.

[Lazzeretto]

The grid and Luna disappeared. "It fits your aesthetic. I really like it. Also my scanner said more of your DNA is on this side than the other side." He explained.

Hikari walked into the room, wanting to go to bed early. She was holding Lily in her arms and stopped when she noticed someone else with Quinn. "Another boy? Someone's popular," She teased, referring to Brandon.

"It doesn't have any of my DNA," she started.
Quinn looked over when Hikari entered and frowned at what she said. "I'm sorry for having male friends," she said, rolling her eyes. "At least I have friends."

"Hi, I'm Ren. Also it didn't take any it just analyzed it" He said reaching out to shake Hikari's hand. "Is that a Pikachu?" He asked excitedly.

Quinn spoke lightly but it embarassed her and she didn't like it.

Hikari nodded, eagerly shaking Ren's hand. "Yes, she is! The first Pokemon I ever bonded with. Her name is Lily," She smiled proudly, and Lily seemed to beam as well.

"Wait. How do you know what a Pikachu is?" Quinn asked Ren.

"Awww, she is a fierce little electric type isn't she" He said, petting her gently. He turned to Quinn. "You see a lot of things and places when your really old"

"So have you ever been to Sinnoh?" Hikari asked happily. "That's where I'm from. As you can probably tell, I'm a Pokemon trainer. Are you one too? I haven't met any yet at this school,"

"Pika!" Lily exclaimed.

Quinn frowned and sat on her bed.

"I am not but I have visited a few times. And been attacked by a few overly ambitious trainers" he chuckled and sat next to Quinn.

Hikari laughed at that as well. "I came here to become a better trainer. I want to be just like my idol, Hilda! She wasn't from Sinnoh, but that hardly matters to me," She walked over to her own side and gently set Lily down on the bed.

Quinn didn't know anything about what they were talking about. So she just sighed. The point of coming here was to get away from one roommate not bump into another.

Ren tapped his palm and Luna materialized in the form of a small bird in his hand. She hopped around then hopped on to Quinn's lap and chirped happily.

"That's cool," Hikari announced, motioning to the bird. "Anyway, I actually didn't come in here to talk, I came in here because I was going to get ready for bed,"

"Already?" Quinn asked her. "It's not even that late," she complained. "I guess we can go to the common room," she suggested to Ren, touching Luna's wings.

Luna scanned Wuinn and transformed into the kind of bird Quinn turned into. "I'm alright with that. Sorry for interrupting your bed time"He said sincerely. He did not like being an inconvenience.

"I don't mind, really. And I like going to bed early. The sun set early in Sinnoh so it's just a habit." Hikari shrugged, since that was just the truth. She had no reason to care nor get into it.

Quinn got off her bed, catching Luna in her hands. "I don't know if I like this thing," she said, going to the door.

"I'm sorry, she just kind of does her own thing usually" He apologized and got up to follow her. Luna teleported back into his hand, pixelated into a small cube then disappeared. "I can deactivate her if she bothers you."

"She just knows too much," Quinn said. The two of them headed to the common room.

"Goodbye," Hikari called after them, getting herself ready for bed.

Ren waved on his way out. "Have a good night, it was nice to meet you" he said as they left.

Hikari sat down at the desk in her room, eagerly writing a letter back home to her father. Even though she knew it wasn't necessary, she still wanted him to know everything she had been through recently ever since she had arrived and all of the people she had met. Lily curled up at her feet as usual, dozing softly. She hummed to herself as she wrote, content.

Quinn came into the room and slammed the door behind her, nit knowing her roommate was inside.

Hikari jumped from the loud noise, folding up part of her letter and looking at Quinn in surprise, blinking at her. "Are you okay?" She asked, helping Lily jump into her lap, who was startled awake.

"Huh? Oh, sorry!" Quinn told her. "You would not believe the stuff I've been through today," she said to her roommate.
Quinn took the shield remote out of her pocket and tossed it on the bed.

"Really? Try me. Did you forget I'm a Pokemon Trainer? Strangeness is part of the job," She gently petted Lily, whispering to her in Pokespeak to try and get her to calm down. "Though if you don't want to tell me, that's fine too. After all you're not required to,"

Quinn sat on the wnd of her bed, facing Hikari. "Did You meet Renn? I can't remember. He's a vampire. Colorful hair. Anyways, we were hanging out and I suggested we visit the ruins because it seemed like something he'd be interested in. I didn't know he was going to practically explode."

“Yeah, actually! He knew what a Pikachu was,” Hikari beamed happily. “One of the first people at the school to know that...” Her eyes then widened as she looked over at Quinn. “H-He exploded? Like, literally just exploded? Blew up like an explosion? Or blew up like he yelled at you?”

"Like he started to glow and weird things started to happen. Ghosts from the ruins appeared and then these scary vampire things," Quinn told her.

“Ohhhh...” Hikari nodded. “Okay, a lot of that I don’t really understand, but I get the jist of it,”

"I don't understand how it happened," Quinn told her. "And I was there. It was ridiculous. I scared myself sick for not flying out of there. Does that make me a bad friend- wanting to fly away?"

She shook her head. "I don't think so. I would've wanted to run away too in that situation, to find help or something,"

"I didn't know what to do. So I stayed with him. And the vampire things were like shadows that dripped poison onto Ren's skin. They weren't whatever the other stuff was, like memories or whatever. They were real."

Hikari nodded, still listening. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to say in response to that, so she just kept quiet.

"So I sent my cousin, Cormac- did you meet him?" Quinn asked. "Anyways, I sent him an S.O.S. message and he showed up just in time because Renn was way out of it and there was nothing I could do, like, at all."

She shook her head at that. "No, I don't think I ever met your cousin,"

"Not important I guess. Cormac helped up and the creepy vampire said that he was going to come back and he knew how to get to Renn. Cormac thinks they're going to use me. Renn gave me that shield thing but it makes me nervous," she pulled her hair.
"And Renn seemed different all the sudden. Mean? Rougher for sure. I don't know what to do about it. Should I tell? Or what?"
