Nutshell by Ian McEwan - 3 stars

Our protagonist finds himself upside down inside of a woman, folded up on himself with very little room to move. But he hears all that goes on around his mother and has a clear understanding of what is going on in the world, presumably through all the radio information his mother is listening to... As his mother and her lover scheme to secure ownership of her husbands house, he observes and comments.

Though I found this an interesting premise, I kept thinking about how could the baby possibly derive what was going on from sound and motion alone. Though nicely written, it just felt kind of wrong.
