I finished the book and I also watched the 1945 movie. I will wait to chat once we hear a word from Eunice.

Eunice | 636 comments I'll try to finish reading the book today.

No rush. Take your time :)

Eunice | 636 comments Finished it, and I seriously didn't expect him to be the killer.

If I hadn't seen the movie before, I never, ever would have guessed either. What a freaking twist. And crazy that Vera walked right into the noose so willingly. I think she was a lot unhinged though. Wild times.

So did you two like the book overall? I did giving it 4 stars. Will you read more Agatha Christie novels? There are a ton.

Eunice | 636 comments I didn't expect that from Vera. She seemed so sweet and innocent at first, but then her crime was better explained. She killed Lombard to survive and then kills herself in the end. It's crazy.

I'd like to read more of Agatha Christie's works. I love mysteries and thrillers, and her books are somehow (probably not just somehow) considered as classics.

D.L. | 1453 comments I definitely plan to read more Agatha Christie. Murder on the Orient Express is even becoming a big budget movie this year. Though I can't picture Kenneth Branagh (much as I liked him in Hamlet and several other movies) as Hercule Poirot.
