Book: The Time Hunters
Qualification: #1 in the Time Hunters series
Rating: 4 stars
Review: This book is about Becky and Joe and their granduncle, Henry as they time travel to find the Golden Fleece and keep it safe from people, other time travellers, who want to exploit for their own purposes.

I think my view of Greek mythology, specifically about the Argonauts and the Labyrinth just got smashed into ruin by this book. I was slightly cringing for them because they were practically whimpering the whole time!

But for the overall plot, the concept was interesting but not that complicated. It's cool that there's actually a guild for time travellers.
And there were many plot twists in the book, so it was kind of unpredictable. It was fun to read.

Review:

I really liked this book. I love Elena and Raphael as a couple. Plus, I love this world! Singh has created something vivid and inspired. Raphael is facing something not very many archangel's have ever had to deal with. The Cascade is powering up Raphael and the rest of the Cadre. However, no one really knows who will get what, or how those powers will manifest (or how long it takes).

Other cataclysmic events are affecting Raphael and his territory. Angels are falling from the sky. There is an unknown virus killing immortal vampires. So who is this unknown enemy? While it could be any one of the Cadre, it is hard to pinpoint exactly who. Everyone is considered an enemy until there is absolute proof.

This was very exciting. I like to see, not only Elena growing into her new immortal body, but Raphael with his new Cascade manifested power. I like the politics and the world building. I won't lie the steamy moments are great too. The only problem I have with those, is that it seems like Elena and Raphael cannot keep their hands to themselves. An argument is punctuated with violent kissing, it can be awkward. I like their interactions but I want to see more for them than physical connections.

Review: I enjoyed this entry in the Hammer series. With two separate romances happening, along with a suspense twist at the end there is a lot going on. I definitely preferred one of the story lines over the other, although both were well written. I just was more invested in one rather than not liking the characters, etc. Clay is the older brother of Dare and Dev who fall for Bake. Bake's twin Bean falls for Clay. It is all very convenient although the five only interact all together at the beginning and the end. The middle chapters alternate between romances.

I like how much I can see this series merging with the Fever series - it's just little bits here and there, but the nerd inside me won't stop jumping up and down.

Overall, it's very similar to most of the paranormal romance books I've read - lots and lots of sex. Nothing overly different there, thus the only 4 stars. It would have been 3 if it wasn't for the little tidbits from the Fever series that make me squeal a little bit inside.

Review:

Ash and Janvier's story has been a long time coming. We first heard of their possible romance in book one, and it was so satisfying to finally get into it. This book, in my opinion, is why I love this series! It was a slow burn. Their connection was felt from the beginning, but they didn't automatically just jump on each other. I like that there was a courtship of sorts.

The Legion is terrifying, and only more so in this book. No matter the kinds of connections Elena is trying to make with them. We get more and more information about Naasir, which I find him very fascinating! I think his book is next and I'm very excited! I want to know all of his secrets.

Series: Miss Marple #3
Rating: 4 stars
Review: I haven't read any other books of this series aside from this one, though I have read other books by the same author. As expected, the plot surprised me. The premise of the mystery was strange as well. We got this outrageous murder in a colonel's house, but the victim is a stranger to everyone in the household. No one knew her, making everyone question why she was in the house in the first place. And of course, Miss Marple comes to the rescue. She was pretty amazing. I felt kind of stupid at the end of the book, but then I always do after reading mystery books like this one.

Review: Another funny book from this series that I have been enjoying quite a lot! Lisa (and her daughter Francesca) write with such openness and candor with the result that I feel I know them and would be their friend...while also laughing with (and at) them and their adventures that are both amazing and ordinary. Most of the short pieces in this book were quite funny but there were several that were more serious (always with a bit of humor, thankfully) and that caused me to be somewhat reflective. All in all, another enjoyable read. I believe I only have one more in the series left to get to. Bummer!

I love this series by Susan Hatler overall because they're short, easy, fun romances. This one was no exception. However, I definitely did not love this one as much as I have the others in the series. Hopefully the others in this series that I haven't read yet will be better.

Review: And Mia's story goes on. She's pretty entertaining in how she narrates, as always, and I really adore Mia and Michael together. But I can't believe that after everything, she'd still believe her Grandmere's love advice because they sucked in the last book. Overall, it was a nice book, but it feels so stretched out by now.

Review: This series has held my interest since I read the first book. I love following this family thru their trials and tragedies. Not only in modern times but in medieval times as well. I love that they decided to attempt to return the 21st century people that didn't want to stay. I also love that they always meet & accept new people into their diverse little group. I can't wait to read the next book!
