(view spoiler)[So, it's off to an interesting start. I'm not sure how I feel about the characters yet. I feel bad for Elaan's father and brother. I think Elaan is being a bit unfair with Elijah. Being angry after someone dies is kind of a defense mechanism against just completely deteriorating emotionally like their father has. (hide spoiler)]

I'm glad that Elaan is finally coming to her senses and listening to Lijah, but Lijah is really self centered, so I don't know. He's unfairly judging his parents for just trying to survive.
