Alex (asato) I'm excited to announce the start of the final voting period for our June BoM!

To vote, go to the following poll:

https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1...

To promote the broadest participation possible, you should vote for all of the books that you want to read. The nominee with the most votes would become the BoM. In this way, you do not need to choose a book that you think will win even though you would really rather to read another one. Instead, you can vote for both of them!

Note: The poll is anonymous.

To vote, simply write in all of the nominated books that you want to read in the write-in area of the poll.

The final voting period ends on 31 May at 11:59PM Pacific time.

Let's have a great time reading and discussing because talking about books with each other is the other half of the fun!

Pretty much like it does now, however an author would know better what to expect as our BoMs so far often resembles critical assessment more than just readers' discussions ..

P.K. Davies | 353 comments Okay, Nik. Is there at this time an approved or accepted model for reacting to a BOM, was I out of line by writing a semi-review? Should we just talk about it without being specific to its style, format or quality? Sorry if there is a protocol that I didn't know about.

message 8: by Alex (new)

Alex (asato) at this time, their are no guidelines other than the group guidelines. we can talk about style, format or quality.

although it is true that writers tend to comment more on how to fix things, on the whole readers are not any less critical. it is because of the current makeup of the group that we have more writers in the BoM.

Graeme Rodaughan | 7098 comments Done. Pleased to see that the one I voted for was in the run off .

message 15: by Alex (new)

Alex (asato) I modified the poll so that you can only vote for one or the other (I deleted the "Both" choice). If we have enough readers for both, then we'll run both of them as June's group reads.

Graeme Rodaughan | 7098 comments Good choice.

Alex (asato) 1 day left to vote in the runoff!

Even if you didn't vote in the original voting period, please don't hesitate to vote now if you want to read either of these books. ^_^

Coincidentally, both of these books are written by authors that reside in Australia. Writers from the "Land Down Under" are sure making their voices heard! ^_^
