Rich person builds advanced boat/yacht with some form of computer or artificial intelligence

Hi Guys, I probably read this about 10-15 years ago - from what I remember a rather rich person builds one of the most advanced boats (yachts?) around, with all sorts of tech to cross an ocean (might've been a race of some kind), and the boat has some form of computer or AI, and it all starts going wrong for him / the boat out in the ocean.
