C.L. (stonescribe) | 3 comments I write genre fiction under the pen name C.L. Talmadge, and nonfiction under the pen name Candace L. Talmadge.

My current author profile, for C.L. Talmadge, has a book shelf of nonfiction reviews that I would like to transfer to a new nonfiction author profile that I will set up for Candace L. Talmadge.

Please tell me there is a way to do this without deleting all of the nonfiction reviews from the C.L. Talmadge profile and manually adding them to the new Candace L. Talmadge profile after I set it up.

Thanks

Scott | 9264 comments You can add your full name as a secondary author to the ones with the pen name, and then they will show under both profiles.

Scott, I think Candace means something a bit different.

This isn't really a librarian issue (or an author issue, for that matter), but it's pretty straightforward to transfer reviews from one user account to another. You want to use our use the import/export feature to export a file of all you reviews. Then edit the file (using Excel or similar) to only have the reviews you want to transfer. And use the feature to upload the file to the new account.

Then delete the reviews from the original account. (Having multiple accounts is ok, as long as you don't use it to post multiple reviews of the same book.)

I tried this with Art Criticism and Art Criticism. Both come up when I do a search under the pen name and the title, but they don't both show up under each person's page.

On top of that, I can't combine the books because only one is under the regular name and only because it wasn't self-published. People know the author by the pen name so that's where they'll look for her books. Is there a way to combine them so people know it's the same book?

Z-squared | 8575 comments re 5, each edition of Art Criticism needs to have the same primary author in order to be combined. I edited them all to have Blue GhostGhost as primary, since that was the author name the book was first published under, and combined them.

Scott: How or where do you add a secondary author name in an author profile? I looked at my author profile settings but do not see a way to do so. Thanks!

Melaslithos | 1360 comments Hi,

You do not add the secondary author name to the author profile, but to the book.
When you edit the author, you can click just below on "add an author".
When that is done, the book will appear on both author profile.

If you want to link both your other profile, you can add a link in your description.
