Easy way to re-order books?

Is there an easy way to reorder books in a series so that they appear correctly on the overview page?

I would like to add the missing books of the "Perry Rhodan" series. It has been running for more than 50 years and has more than 2900 entries.

Assigning the books to the series is no big deal and just takes time but on the series overview page the entries are not sorted. The newly added entries 900-994 are at the bottom and not in the correct place. Manually dragging them is out of question here as another 2100+ entries wait to be added. :-)

Any idea?

Thats the only way there is as far as i know. It's a real pain on those huge series, but at least we can reorder and dont havebto remove and readd everything!
