Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments Grey, I looked at several for you. Forever, Interrupted, Lock & Key, Hausfrau was a big runner up, Carter Reed and Rush.

Rush and Hausfrau were the two on top, but I checked out the other ones too, then landed back on Rush.

From your list I've read 5-star (for me) Obsidian, Slammed and Bad Things. I've also read A Court of Thorns and Roses but I didn't love it like Ela and Tessa did. I probably need to go back to that one at some point and try it again.

Out of the ones I've read, you "might" like Slammed. But it's an oldie and those are really iffy. They were great when they first came out, but they may not hold up to the test of time.

I've gone back and forth about reading Rush myself. I don't like to read about physically handicapped characters, so the blindness is holding me back.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments LOL Lisa!!! I saw your comment on the other challenge discussion. I think we are a saucy group!

I play this same challenge in another group and there is no sauciness around there. ;-)

Thank you for being straight with me. 😘 My goal for this month is to read both Rush and Hausfrau then.

Tessa--I knew either you or Grey were going to say that! ROFL I still have 10% left of this fricking fracking Seduc..."

YES! I felt the same way, but it has important things, so it needs to be read. I liked Ristan's book a lot more than Seducing. Hopefully the next fae book will be as good as the first 3.

message 205: by Niki (new)

Niki | 45 comments Sigh...Renee that was my other choice for Ela....maybe i should have chose it instead...so maybe next month someone will!

I did not enjoy seducing destiny as well and did stop and start over a few months..I think i just ended up skimming some! I have not read Ristan's book but loved PWM's!!

message 206: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Hey Jean. I'm pickin' for you. :D It's morning here now and I've had breaky and am ready to roll!

Wow! Your list! Actually , I haven't read many of them, and I'm not totally sure of your tastes. Hmmmm. I've got a couple I'm thinking of. PNR or not???? *taps finger thoughtfully on chin* Gimme a few minutes.

message 207: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) OK, I've picked My Commander My Commander (Bewitched and Bewildered, #1) by Alanea Alder for you. Now, I didn't really like it. I know, I know. But just hear me out. Lots of people floved it, so I'm thinking you should give it a try and find out for yourself. So, there ya go!

message 208: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments Grey - I added a few recently. I'm nervous. Lots of very different reads on my list!

message 209: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments I can't find Anna's Pick For Me shelf!!!

message 210: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Anna's sposed to be picking for me. Anna, where art thou?

message 211: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments My Commander was a DNF for me!!! Sorry. Going to go hide now.

Jan (jan130) Michelle wrote: "My Commander was a DNF for me!!! Sorry. Going to go hide now."

Yeah, I either dnf'ed or struggled to finish. But Jean, I hope you LOVE it, cos many did. Don't listen to grumpy ole Michele and me.

message 213: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Okee Now I'm home. lol I liked My Commander. It was sweet and silly.

Renee, Ristan's book was better than Seducing. That one was just slow.

Tessa | 1761 comments Michelle, here is Anna's shelf. https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

Fabi put it next to her name. :)

message 215: by [deleted user] (new)

Amy, the only one I have read is A Torch Against the Night. ....so there you go.

message 216: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Jan, that's great! I was being patient because I know you're in a different time zone. I really like all genres but usually end up sticking with CR. When I do readPNR through these ladies recs, I usually end up loving them! I know a lot of you guys loved it so I'm excited to see how I feel about it! And it's something that would have stayed on my TBR shelf for a while and this is the point of cleaning it up!

Me too!

message 219: by [deleted user] (new)

Im not sure about you all but it wont surprise me if some are not familiar with the books on my list. Im using this as a clean up my tbr not a what to read next. So yes some titles and/or authors may be familiar but I mostly chose books that have been buried and languishing. I want the impetus to actually read them.

message 220: by [deleted user] (new)

Saying that .....I want to choose for Niki.

Oreos!

Bumpties!

message 221: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Bev, I haven't but I've already seen three I want to read but haven't yet. I'd totally turn you into a guinea pig too.

message 222: by [deleted user] (new)

Ill guinea pig, just remember im a Sloooow guinea pig.

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
Michelle, you were really hard to pick for actually!!! I almost had to resort to eenie-meanie-miney-moe, *covers eyes* (did you change your list from this afternoon until tonight? I swear your list was different earlier LOL!)

I finally decided on... Whispers and the Roars by K. Webster I hope you enjoy!

message 224: by [deleted user] (new)

FABI! Dont you dare. You are already too scarce at the blog. I would just join all your other groups.
You'd be so embarrassed.....thats my annoying friend bev. She only reads kids books.
Id start throwing peanuts at all your other friends to read Sweet Valley High and invite Tessa over to do rereads with me and have indepth round table discussions.

Bwahahhaha! Omg... bev, you're awesome!

Fabi, you're awesome too... and I completely agree with bev... I'd follow her and join all your groups too and say awww, that's my friend Fabi, who ditched us because we were too smutty... or not smutty enough or we were too indecisive... or something lol!

Yep. I'd totally fight over how hot Bruce Patman is. Don't think I won't! He was my first BBF, after all.

message 227: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments Grey, yes, I updated my list a couple of hours ago. Took off two I've read since, and added three.

message 228: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments But I'm good with Whispers & Roars! Just need the whole month, possibly!

message 229: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments *whispers* Because you know she's reading A Strange Hymn next.

message 230: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments Bev - what's this talk about Fabi? She's leaving a blog or group? No way! I will stalk her too

message 231: by Anna (new)

Anna Penwick (annapenwick) | 166 comments Jan my pick for you is A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas

message 232: by [deleted user] (new)

I always remember every book had a description of their eyes, hair, and perfect size 6.
And lets not forget the Fiat.

Grey could be our first guest. She could BR with us and Discuss: Bruce Patman YA first bad boy? And how is it meeting him as an adult vs a teen? Did his bad boy dreamy-ness leave long term scars on Tessa's psyche? Why does she love the bully?

Oh. Yeah. We'd take over. Hell, if it is too mature and real for Fabi's other friends we could break out Sweet Valley Twins the middle school years.

message 233: by Kate (new)

Kate | 26 comments Tessa - you were really hard to pick for! I ended up choosing..... Juniper Smoke by Sadia Ash

Hope you enjoy! 😊

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments LOL! Love you guys!!!!!!!

Blame Ela, she says I don't read or like the same books. :-( So sad.

I DO SO. .... some

I've always had somewhat different reading tastes in Maryse's group. But many have tried and liked my books and I KNOW I've tried and loved many, many of your recs.

Oh...and I would LOVE IT if all of you joined all the groups I'm in. I'm not very active in any except this and TPAM but would love to have every one of you everywhere.

Hey! Let's buy a neighborhood. We can call it Readers Paradise and be exclusive to crazy reading ladies and their families.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments Hey, there's Kate! Hi Kate.

Ooooh, thank you Kate! It's one of my 'avoid once I bought' books, so that's perfect. :D

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments Anna, did I mess up your bookshelf link?

message 238: by Kate (new)

Kate | 26 comments Hi!! Sorry I've been so busy lately and haven't checked back! I'm so excited to read my pick, but I'm also down to join the On the Island buddy read! Both books have been high up on my TBR forever.

message 239: by Lisa (new)

message 240: by Leslie (new)

No the link goes to the right shelf.

Hey thanks Anna. I've been waiting for someone to make me read this, especially after all the recent rave comments about the sequels. I'm nearly done with American Hellhound, then I'll get started on it. *cracks knuckles*

I really liked this book at the start. It's quite a different and intriguing CR, with a fresh and unique 'voice'. But then it went on for soooooo looong, plus there was one character I HATED. Well, you were meant to, but I COULDN'T STAND HER. Plus, be warned it's a cliffhanger, and AFAIK the next one isn't out yet. Just sayin'..... but it's still well worth a read and I'm glad someone else in the group is going to try it.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments I might start my PFM book tomorrow. It's either tomorrow or the end of the month for me. I want to read it so bad I think I'm going to try to sneak it in before Friday.

Thanks for the warning about CH. I'm the weird one that totally doesn't care if it's CH or not. It gives me time to try to figure out plots and such. :D Though, evil annoying character? Ooooh!

message 247: by Niki (new)

Niki | 45 comments I'm with Tessa on the cliffhangers! Don't mind them at all...usually for me it adds to the anticipation of the next book...unless it takes three years for the next one then I'm grumbly. :)

message 248: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) I really hate it when you get to the last chapter and you start getting that sinking feeling of oh nooooo, not a CH?????? But with this book for some reason I was half-expecting it all the way through, so it wasn't really a shock.
