Robinette eventually turned on everyone who was loyal to him. Why do you suppose they didn't turn on him?

Each of them was loyal and in some way needed Robinette, except for Westmorland. He saw that the boss was unhinged and took off.

The chemist, Fletcher, drugged him so he'd have enough time to get away. He reluctantly broke ties because he knew Robinette had turned on him.

They were all intensely loyal to this psychopath.
