I guess so. I must've Googled that line a million times, and I always came up with nothing /:
I've Googled, I've Binged, I've even consdered Yahoo, but I freakin' hate Yahoo. It's a little ridicluous, thinking about it. It's a middle school book. It's set in February, around Valentine's day. That's all I really remember. /:
The cover was white-ish with big, pink hearts, and one of the lines that still sticks out the most is, "He's my on-again, off-again boyfriend." I know that is SO unhelpful. /:
The first scene in the book is her, and her little brother walking to school, and they're trying to remember if that day is Valentine's day. And she unzips her coat, and she's wearing overalls over a long-sleeved shirt, and she says something like, "If it were Valentine's Day, Mom would've put out my red dress." Something like that. And then in the same scene, she sort of scoots herself down this little bumpy patch of ice, she's sitting on top of her binder? (I usually say notebook, but I know the "proper" term is binder), and some of the stickers end up getting peeled off.
There's also, if I'm thinking of the right book, and not another one altogether, a paragraph where the title character is talking about her new baby brother, and how her grandmothers sewed a bunch of booties for him before he was born, and she says something like, "How many feet did they think he was going to have?"
I know there's not a lot of information, but I'd really appareciate any, and all help. I'm also trying to find another book I read a lot, but that's another post for another day. :)
