Mouseover the cover-image now works for me on Safari 7.1 (Beta/Mac OS X 10.9.5 Beta) and Safari 5.1.1 (Mac OS X 10.6 Server), also on Chrome Version 31 (auto-update disabled) and Firefox Version 30.

But I cannot say wether it did not work for me before - and I think the delay till the info comes is too long for my taste, when I browse I tend to wiggle the mouse (er, trackball) often without meaning to.
You get a little info at the mouse-cursor with the book-title and author.
mobile versions might be different, too
mobile versions might be different, tooBest to add title *and* author, also cover if relevant. Please!

Yes....just make it as easy as possible for readers given that computers and devices vary so widely.

The app doesn't show cover thumbnail images, just a little green box, so we have to click on the box and open the book's page. Title link is much more convenient.

Reading this thread bc I was hoping to learn how to link book titles when replying to a thread within the app. Is that only possible on the desktop/website version?

You should be able to do it this way, Sarah:
You should be able to do it this way, Sarah:[ book: title ] or [ author: name ]
Just don't include the spaces after the left bracket and before the right bracket.
EXAMPLE:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
J.K. Rowling
Books mentioned in this topic
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (other topics)Mockingjay (other topics)

Of course, you could just insert the book title link by itself and the mouseover will supply the author's name. Mouseover of cover images does not supply the author's name.
