Not sure if this will appeal to the masses but its what I plan on reading :)"

I second this!

message 56: by Ashlyn (new)

Ashlyn (espiritly) | 4 comments The one I read for this was The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare and is a wonderful audiobook. It's a stand-alone from her mortal instruments and infernal devices series, but could probably be read on its own. It's a funny though sometimes sad light read about a warlocks adventures and romances.

If you've read it, and it doesn't fit the prompt, please let me know. If that proves the case, I'll jump on the Octavia Butler train as I've been checking that book out with interest of late.

Bats of the Republic

Sure would love to get in on a discussion about this one

message 81: by Chinook (new)

Chinook | 731 comments Juanita - I don't think it counts. They travel through space and maybe even time, but it's a pretty linear story.

message 82: by Laura (new)

message 83: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (molacher) | 15 comments I loved Outlander and The Girl You Left Behind. Right now, I'm reading Abandon by Blake Crouch and it definitely fits the bill. The origin story takes place in 1893 and the current story in 2009.
