the most unexpected thing that happened while reading this book was the fact that Hank is Nora's father and Rixon wanted to kill Nora. I actually kind of suspected that it was Hank because the prologue tells you that Harrison isn't her father but that lead to the question who? What also surprised me was Rixon killed Harrison or shot him. I didn't think it would be Rixon but that is what the author was probably going for. The fact that Rixon wasn't so "nice" was kind of a surprise. I knew he could fight but didn't know he wanted to kill Nora. But the book is really amazing and it is the best series I've ever read.

I agree with you 100%. I love that this series follows what seems to be a "book rule" if you will. That being the protagonist falling for the "antagonist" to only find out that he/she wasn't the antagonist after all. But while following this normal trait of almost every book ever written, there is a completely different story in the background to this awesome love story. The combining of this particular love story with the twisted and fallen angels in the background with a dash of unexpected twists to what we originally thought to be the story line puts it on the top of my favorite books/series ever read. I suggest everyone should read it. And if you want a bonus, the bible will corroborate a lot of the story, of course some of it really is made up.

Lonely Reader lol, it is also at the top of my favourite series list. My favourite book is TFIOS but I am absolutely in love with this series more than TFIOS
