Rosina | 1800 comments twist....that how I thought the books read were working.....if it was read in round one they could be stockpiled for future use....

message 102: by Melanie (new)

Melanie | 7 comments Just to let you know on the page with the points workout, you have our start date as May 4th, that should be 14th shouldn't it?

message 103: by Melanie (new)

Melanie | 7 comments Ive added a few more characters for The Handmaid's Tale.

message 104: by Lucy (new)

Lucy Luu (lovelucyluu) | 238 comments Twist wrote: "Thank you! I moved the info because I needed someplace to put the points. I figure we can use that sheet for all the stops to keep track of info. Then as you said, duplicate the sheets for the rest..."

This is great! Very convenient! I like it!

You know what, you are correct, I think.... Hang on..."

Not picking Twist, I am in awe at yours and Cecily's leadership.
Just thought I would point it out so it didn't mess up dates later on.

Michelle (shelld79) | 288 comments I'm a bit confused with the spreadsheet now, lol. where did the sheet go that spelled out Santa Cruz? Is it just me or is it gone?
Gosh a lot goes on here while I'm sleeping. The perils of being on the other side of the world to most of you guys 😁

message 107: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (shelld79) | 288 comments Don't worry, I just found it! I was looking at it withmy tablet and because there was a Sheet 10 in between the last two sheets I didn't see the original one tacked on the end. I've got a migraine today so the brain isn't working all that well.....

message 108: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (shelld79) | 288 comments Are we going to do the detour for the next leg? It looks like that's what everyone voted on.

message 109: by Melindam (new)

Melindam | 8303 comments I will read On the Edge by Ilona Andrews and The Dread Goddess: Book of Icons - Volume Two by Jillian Kuhlmann until next Saturday. I have updated the spreadsheet with infos for the spell-it-out.

Lucy Luu (lovelucyluu) | 238 comments So since we haven't decided on things yet:

Currently reading:
The Crown by Kiera Cass
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

Spell-It-Out: Aberdeen
The Crown by Kiera Cass
Character: Eadlyn Schreave

Spell-It-Out: Scotland
The Crown by Kiera Cass
Title: C OR Character: Eadlyn Schreave

OR

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
Title: C OR Author: Sarah

Detour:
A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab
pages: 512

If you guys do decide to on the detour I have to read A Darker Shade of Magic first because Gathering of Shadows is the second book.

I don't have any books located in Scotland or by a Scottish author.

Great job on the first week everyone!!

message 111: by Melanie (new)

Melanie | 7 comments I am reading Outlander which is based in Scotland.

Currently reading:
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - 864pgs
Character names: Rupert, Geillis Duncan (listing names that match Aberdeen)

The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood - 324pgs
Character names: Nick, Rita (listing names that match Aberdeen)

message 112: by Melanie (new)

Melanie | 7 comments I'd probably prefer to do a spell-it-out rather than the detour. The detour this week looks a little hard but I will go with majority vote.

So either option 1 (s-I-o) or option 3 (country) for me.

message 113: by Rosina (new)

Rosina | 1800 comments I don't care what we do

message 114: by Cecily (last edited May 21, 2017 01:52PM) (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments I would prefer the Spell It Out I am having a hard time finding a book that fits the detour. Do we spell both things or just one of them?

message 115: by Rosina (new)

Rosina | 1800 comments if we do spell out...i read The last Camellia that had a character Addison

message 116: by Rosina (new)

Rosina | 1800 comments I am also reading a book right now that has characters for B or N

message 117: by Cecily (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments Okay so I should be keeping track of ALL the books I have read since the thread started?

"◈ Books count that are started after your team thread is created. Provided the book is started during your challenge period, it can be used at any point during your challenge for a task or detour"

message 118: by Cecily (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments I am just wondering if we should have a "banked books" tab??

message 119: by Lucy (new)

Lucy Luu (lovelucyluu) | 238 comments I picked another shift at work, again... But since the Crown isn't a very long book, I think I should be able to finish that one fairly soon. I'll update you guys again when I finish.

message 120: by Julia (new)

Julia (mrsmiawallace) | 23 comments I would prefer the spell it out as well, I'm currently reading The Nightwalker by Sebastian Fitzek and I'm starting The Memory Box by Eva Lesko Natiello tomorrow. So that would fit the letters N, E and B.

message 121: by Cecily (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments Okay I added my backlogged books to the Book Details tab.

message 122: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (shelld79) | 288 comments I want to apologise in advance now that I may not be around much the next couple of days. I've got a big work deadline on Friday that I have to meet and am working nights to get there so reading and spending time on Goodreads may not happen much, sorry!

message 131: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (shelld79) | 288 comments What are we doing next? Are we going to do the spell-it-out again or something else?

I have added the list and put all my letters in alphabetic order to make it a bit clearer. :)

Melindam | 8303 comments I did an Uno cards team challenge earlier this year. I also registered for the tower teams challenge, but was too late. :( I enjoy both spell-it-out and the mixed tasks we were given in the uno challenge, like "read a book with a red cover + a char/place name/ author's name starting with v" or "read a book where a char goes swimming" etc. I am also doing the 2017 popsugar individual challenge.
