So I've recently finished ABC Murders, and for once- I guessed the murderer!!! Although, not how he did it! What did you guys think of this book- A Christie best, or not? Could anyone guess who did it? What did you think of the format of this book, and did you like the subject matter-a little more psychological than usual and something different to what Christie usually goes for, but still quite a good read for me all the same.

Would like to hear your thoughts!!:)

I didn't guess who did it.

I enjoyed it but it's not one of my top favorites from her.

I just finished Christie´s MISS MARPLES LAST CASE. I realized that it had to be one of two characters that did it. I fault the book as the monkey paws hint reveals falsely at the ending. So, Gwen never saw Dr. Kennedy´s hands. None of the other characters saw the resemblance? Shame on you Agatha, you needed to rewrite that one.

I like the book but her best have to be Murder On The Orient Express and Then There Were None. I didn't like the BBC adaptation. It didn't have the tone of an Agatha Christie. She didn't write noir. On top of which Poirot is developed in ways that Agatha Christie certainly didn't envisage, which might be all right I suppose, but her Poirot did have a comic side to him as well as the serious one and, as that was completely lost, so was a lot of Poirot's charm.
