Congrats on completing your moves Rosa, Ilyssia and Angela!

Rosa, sorry - that is a bit of a tricky one isn't it. Thanks for the link to the list though Barb, very helpful :)

message 252: by Barb (new)

Barb | 1872 comments I only wish I'd been able to find lists for more than just swings. There might be others out there, but I couldn't find them :(

message 253: by [deleted user] (new)

Swings is good, I think swings is mainly what I had in mind when I wrote the challenge :)

message 254: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks for your help, Barb!

Listopia lists just don't really work for me since I only buy books in second hand stores and flea markets and stuff (can't go there with a shopping list ;) ) and the library has only a very limited assortment..

It needed 95 pages of kindle freebies to come upon a swing:
The Ghost Files (The Ghost Files, #1) by Apryl Baker

I'm not happy, but I'm not sure how many more pages of kindle freebies I can look at XD

message 255: by Krissy (new)

Krissy (krissystewart) | 214 comments You scrolled through 95 pages? That is a lot of work when you could have just clicked on the listopia link she gave because the book you chose is like #7 on that list. Lol.

message 256: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 20, 2017 09:11PM) (new)

yes krissy, but usually it's more work typing in a whole listipedia list of books to see if any of them are for free at the moment then just scrolling down - and there was always hope I would find something better and it could have been on page 3 or so :) )

Amazon prices are on the main page of each book. You don't have to actually type in each title.

Krissy wrote: "Rosa wrote: "yes krissy, but usually it's more work typing in a whole listipedia list of books to see if any of them are for free at the moment then just scrolling down - and there was always hope ..."

Really? Where? I only see that 'get a copy now' amazon button, but that only opens the us-amazon page for the book, on the goodreads page itself I don't think I can see a price... (most likely it would be the amazon.com price anyway, I see me scrolling away in the future as well :D )

message 259: by Krissy (new)

Krissy (krissystewart) | 214 comments Do you use the app? Maybe it's different on there because when you are on the desktop version (which I always use even when I'm on my phone) it has Kindle ebook $$(price). I always find it extremely useful because it also will say if it's available with KU or not. So much better than having to go to Amazon to check every book I'm interested in. Unfortunately I am not familiar with the app so it might be different.

message 260: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 20, 2017 11:33PM) (new)

I use the desktop version as well... aww that would have been so great, now I know what I miss out here :(((

Mama X (mamax) Hey guess what... after I finish Eve: The Awakening, I will actually be reading to move on to ROLL 3! LoL Wow it took me forever! I've read 8 books since Roll 1, and none of them met the requirements for "Read a book where the main characters are a group of friends". Eve definitely meets that criteria. :D

message 275: by [deleted user] (new)

Well done Sarah :)

Carrie, I know the feeling. Hardly any of the books I'm reading are fitting into this challenge!

message 277: by [deleted user] (new)

Well done Rosa! How was your 'swing' book in the end?

message 278: by [deleted user] (new)

thanks, Caroline! It was OK. I'm not a big fan of YA and the story was very predictable and bit too much happend (but it was a #1 in a series, I think it was to build up for the following books) but it was not boring and a quick read. won't continue the series, though, but I don't do that very often nevertheless)

message 279: by [deleted user] (new)

At least it was quick :)

message 280: by Joann (new)

Joann Not one of the MCs of my books recently had children, they had ONE child, but not children! I thought I'd landed on an easy square and I've been stuck for awhile. I better not get a tough one or I'll never get off it.

message 281: by [deleted user] (new)

Well done Twist!

I know the feeling Joann, I keep getting stuck on things I thought would be easy too!
Can I just remind you to be sure to post a message for each move that you complete - thanks :)

Kim. E. | 254 comments OK, I have about 15 books either in front of me from the library sitting in a box, not to mention those I have on hoopla, audible, and Kindle. :-)

My task is any form of transportation on the cover, so I'm stretching this to the nth degree, but have to ask:

Does a rocket going into outer space count? (OK if its not, feeling a little difficult today :-) )

message 300: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm going to say yes. It's transporting someone from one place to another so why not :)
