I'm on page 46. I found the beginning of the book very confusing. I don't know if it's just me...Maybe I was tried and unfocused when I read it...I don't know...but it seemed all mixed up.

My goal is to read this Saturday night. I have tried to read it on breaks at work, but it is too hard to focus.
CeeCee I am glad you are reading books you normally would not have read. I feel the same way too.

I couldn't finish the book...I just really didn't enjoy it that much....I couldn't make myself read it....but I find your comment very interesting, Cee Cee!
Oh no Cee Cee don't ever feel that way! If you know early in you aren't into it you can say so and others might feel that way too.
That's true. That DID happen with "Wuthering Heights." We added it, but then in the end everyone kept voicing that they were no longer into reading it, then nobody read it!
Okay just finished. I got confused with all the characters. I was surprised of the way it ended with Tyler killing himself. I didn't think the writing was all that great. I didn't feel that convinced of what was going on. I remember reading one review where they said "ugh" and I would have to agree. It was on my shelf for so long so I am glad I completed it. I feel I was in high school long before all these mass shootings occurred. I definitely got a Columbine feel to it.

Another thing the book would have been more of a success if it was written say from Tyler's point of view and maybe a bit of insight from his sister, instead of all these people who you rarely got to know. i want to know what Tyler did when he woke up and how he got to the school. I feel all of that was lost in the book as well. I think the style of All The Bright Places would have been perfect for this book.
