Section 2

Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Chapters 7-11.

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling things for your good read friends.

Please do not discuss events from later sections. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.

Geoff (geoffgreer) I liked the section with Sigurd, Tatya and Ivanya. Really feel that Sigurd's treatment of Tatya is him trying to make up for not being around his daughter Signe.

Andreas I loved how Ivanya introduced her weapon cache to Sigrud - just imagine how big his eyes went :)

Wow. What a terrible place I chose to end this section. So I was sort of right about Shara not being dead. I'll have to read on to the next section to find out what exactly is going on.

While I'm enjoying the book, I think the last one was better. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out though.

Sky | 1291 comments Yeah, horrible place for a section break...Rob, why didn't you read the book first before making the sections!?!?!?! :P

I also enjoyed the last two better, but this series is so unique that I am still quite enjoying it. I really like the post-industrial, pre-modern setting, with electricity and phones and autos, and especially the aero-trams. I guess the lack of dirigibles disqualifies it from any steam-punkieness! Also the eastern european feel of everything.

I still want to know what's up with Sigrud's hand and him not aging. He is obviously part divine (at least he has a divine hand). Reminds me of Heboric :) But it seems the story should be more complex than just holding that stone of pain in prison.
