Hello, I just found this group! So I'm introducing myself. I haven't had much luck finding clean romances so I hope I will finally find some good recommendations. (Clean here meaning cute, happy fluff, and nothing physical beyond kissing, hugging, cuddling, etc. Not the strict religious type of clean.) I'm sick of people calling me "repressed" or a "prude". I don't like anything involving sex, mostly because I'm asexual (the sex-repulsed type of asexual) and can't read anything explicit without cringing at best (and getting physically sick at worst). Nor do I like the "alpha-holes" that are in so many romances, who any people think are heroes, for some reason.

I'm working on writing a few novels (nothing published or even finished yet ;-;) that include sweet romance, as well as a lot of other genres, mostly fantasy, steampunk, and mystery.

I think I'm probably younger than most people in this group, so please forgive anything that comes across as immature or stupid (e.g. this entire post probably)

Welcome, Cassi! Take a look at the Bookshelf in this group to pick up some good leads on what to read. I’m with you, I always prefer the sweet and good romantic prospect over the dark and dangerous one.

Since you like fantasy, you might possibly like a book I just finished reading, The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman. It’s set in the English Regency, so things are pretty prim and proper, but has fantasy and thriller elements.

I couldn't agree with you more. I love sweet romances that deal with the passionate, emotional pull between the characters, and where lovemaking is only referred to, (although I do have to admit I used to write very tame love scenes between my married couples, but no more) If that makes me a prude, then I'm a proud card-carrying one. I don't like reading sex scenes or anything graphic for that matter.

I always say, the readers have vivid imaginations, let them use it.
