In the novel The Hunger Games, who is considered the hero? Why? Identify three traits from the novel that prove the character you chose is a hero. Use evidence from the text.

Katniss is considered a hero to me because she steps into the hunger games when her little sister is chosen to be in it. Katniss is very mature for her age she gets her mom and sister food to eat and hunts for them which can be quite tough for her girl of 16

Katniss is the hero in this novel because she is brave, smart, and strong. She is considered the "man of the house" after her father died and her mother is to depressed to do nothing, so Katniss looks out for her little sister and mother. She makes sure that her little sister doesn't take and tesserae so her name doesn't get drawn for the reaping. She also hunts for animals so she can trade them for food and supplies their family needs to survive.

Katniss is considered the hero because she puts everyone else's needs before her. She is very tough mentally and she is friendly to everyone she approaches. She volunteered very bravely so her sister did not have to participate in the hunger games. I think that is important in some ones character to have.

Katniss is considered a hero because she is strong and brave. Practically raising her little sister sense she was 11, providing food, love and nurture towards her sister and her mom. Making sure there is always food on the table and working very hard for it. She volunteered bravely to go in the hungers games for her sister, for that she is a hero
