About to start it today, as I really couldn't concerntrate on readin while he was under yesterday.

Glad to hear your son is doing ok. I can remember my kids being so miserable with ear infections, so hard on kids and parents. I am hoping to finish Specials this weekend, as I need to read another book next week for another book group, and things are crazy busy right now. Just let me know when you get into it.

So I requested Specials at two different libraries. One at NYPL and one in Queens and I just got word that ot arrived at NYPL so at lunch I will going to get it!

I just started Abandon yesterday love it it's not that typical detective style thriller (no detective at all...TeHeHe). It's very intense and I'm having a very hard time putting it down!

Donna ---- I read what you had written about the "bubbly" b/s and totally agree right now. I scan over the word already and try not to read it. And the stupid Tally-wa and Shay-la -- ughhh!

Megan and Donna, I agree about the "bubbly," "Tally-wa," and "Shay-la" language, too. And, then in Specials, we get "icy." These words were somewhat of a distraction, but I still managed to enjoy the series in spite of them.

When I read these stupid words, I just keep thinking that this dude that wrote them has it in his head that ultra hot people have their own perky stupid language. It is quite funny. Maybe he spent alot of time watching CLUELESS.

Finished Specials! And the language did drive me nuts but it wasn't as bad as pretties. I liked the whole idea of the series I liked the way it ended :) Don't know if I'm going to read Extras or not though. I'm reading The Hunger Games right now but it will be my last YA for a while.

I just finished The Xibalba Murders An Archeological Mystery. I'm going to start Obsidian Butterfly tonight, and keep listening to The Titan's Curse. I'm planning on reading Ella Enchanted this weekend. :)

After reading three 1,000 page books in a row, I'm really enjoying the change of pace that the more average size books brings. :) I still have quite a few 1,000+ books that I want to read this year... I love big books!

What did you think of The Xibalba Murders An Archeological Mystery? It wasn't great but...
