I gave up on The Mirror of the Soul - J. Lloyd Morgan and I've read and finished Lily and the Billionaire: Vol. 1 - Ana Vela. Now I am going back to Edge of Disaster - A.M. Hargrove.

Babs | 258 comments What I'm reading and what I've read so far this year can be viewed at my 2013 Challenge Site. But I'm reading about Gandhi for my kids group and reading The Stone Diaries after having just finished The Telling of the Bees. A good summer for reading...cool mornings for working outside and hot afternoons for sitting and reading!

Christy | 86 comments I've finished 3 books this June, Son, The Astronaut Wives Club: A True Story and Odd Hours. Highly recommend The Giver series an award winning book especially for young readers. The Astronaut Wives Club book was good, it's being a military wife but on steroids. Odd Thomas is just one of my favorite characters, I have a couple more to go in that series. My husband just finished Hunted so I'm starting that today. Hope you all are having a great summer.

I am still stuck in my Drums of Autumn book. This summer has been very busy and not much time for reading! I wish I could just go to the beach and read on my own but my girls are way to young to not keep an eye on them.

Hope you all are having a fantastic summer!

message 1810: by Babs (new)

Babs | 258 comments Way behind this summer...but just finished The Stone Diaries and for the kids Gandhi. Both very good. I'm moving on to read Holy Ghost Girl: A Memoir which is the first memoir I've read in quite sometime.

message 1811: by Beth A. (new)

Beth A. | 25 comments Finished Housekeeping, kinda ended a downer. Though I suppose it wasn't the best of situations to begin with, but it was a lovely style of writing.

Moved on to a much much lighter read, quite silly. Almost too much, but it was an enjoyable change of pace. If you fancy a very light read for 400 some pages check out Jam

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) | 636 comments Mod
I've finished Release Me - J. Kenner. Is kinda like Fifty Shades and Bare To You style book, so intense are the characters that I throughly enjoyed it. Now I can't decide whether to read next installment or carry on reading something I started lol.

I have finished Claim Me - J. Kenner which I thought the characters are so intense now with the way Damien and Nikki are learning about each other. It's still in the style of 50 Shades. Now I am going to read Complete Me - J. Kenner and I am listening to .The Woman Who Went to Bed for a Year - Sue Townsend on my phone.

I totally let go of this gropup and I send my apologies. Not only have I been training for the NYC marathon I also have been busy with family work and hopefully a new job so life has been hectic.

ON any note I did get to finish a book that was for my work book club and it was The Light Between Oceans which I can't say I was too fond of. It was too emtotional and hit too close to my heart and I don't really enjoy books like that. In any case, it was a decent book but I really wish I would have skipped the ending. Not a big fan of it.

Just finished Shelter - Tara Shuler. Wasn't a bad book, was interesting in parts for the style of book. Found quite a few spelling and grammar errors and sent an email to the author telling her. Now I am going to read Vigilante - Kerry Wilkinson.

I've had a 5hr bath and finished Vigilante - Kerry Wilkinson. Had some spelling/grammar mistakes, but all in all a very good thriller. I kinda guessed near the end who was doing it and will be carrying on reading the rest of the series. Now I think I will go back to reading Halfhead - Stuart MacBride.

I've finally given up on Halfhead - Stuart MacBride

"I am sorry to say that I have given this as much energy and time as I can, but I still can't get into the storyline. I have no idea the characters are like the way they are. Not sure where the story is going with a prolific serial killer not doing much as it is and why the police officer is just sat in a pub moaning.

Oh well, I do love Stuart MacBride's books. But I really couldn't get my head and teeth into this Sci-fi style book".
