I just finished Plant Seed, Pull Weed: Nurturing the Garden of Your Life I enjoy this book since it gives insight into how to put a "practice" into daily activity. Afterall that's why it's called a practice. Too often people who profess to adhere to a religion or a philosophy fail to put all those good ideas into their daily interaction with others.
Well I finally finished Follow the Stone. I started the sequel Don't Poke the Bear! today. Didn't realize when I bought the books they are westerns, I know but so far so good.
I am glad you like it then, Christy! lol
I am going to throw After the Moment against the wall and then start Grundish and Askew

Donna, I hope you have the book and not a kindle or nook!! I never know what to say when I don't like a book because there are usually a hundred other people that LOVED it but throwing it against the wall is a good one.
LOL it is def just the book! I just don't get it! I am trying not to give up on it but I don't know how long I can last.
I couldn't find my book this morning so I grabbed the next on my list which is On Chesil Beach so I started it on my commute to work.
I finished Matched by Ally Condie and I am disappointed to see the sequel won't be out until Nov. I really like the Hunger Games trilogy and that has stopped me from giving this book the 5 stars I may have given it if I had read it first. Who am I kidding it's no where near as good as the Hunger Games. I did enjoy the book and do look forward to reading Crossed. Now on to the next, I am 5 books behind my goal of reading 40 books this year.
OK now I know not to start Matched until at least 2 of the books are out. I waited forever to read The Hunger Games series for thesimple fact that I couldn't handle waiting for the next lol
I hear ya Donna, I am almost done withDivergent yet another Hunger Games like series. I say series but only book one is out! Im going to read the Kevin Hearne series next, at least he has 3 of the books done. Happy reading :-)
I recently brought Divergent because I was so into The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxset. I didn't read it yet tho.....
At the rate I am reading I had to start my September book club read which is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
I loved The Immortal LOHL! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it Donna!Currently I am reading Changeling Dream, Katherine, and Night Road. I'm enjoying all three, but Katherine is drawing me in the most.
URG! I am soooo far behind! I am gonna read this book for another year! It's good but I just have zero time!!!
I agree! My reading this summer has gone in spurts. I'll sit down and read 2-3 books and then not feel like touching another one for 2-3 weeks.
My commute used to be 3 hours combined back and forth per day and now it's only 40 mins both ways combined. I love the commute but it kills my reading time!!!!
Not to mention that there is so much to do in the summer. I bet I pick up when it gets cold agin.

I just finished the wonderful Jerusalem Maiden: A Novel
and now beginning the A Red Herring Without Mustard
I just started The Help I wanted to read it before I saw the movie. Now the race is on to finish the book this week or at least before the movie leaves the theater.
You will read it really quick! It is very engaging! I saw half og the movie!!! I was super exhausted and tried to watch it but sleep overcame me.
Because of the little tremor we got here in NYC yesterday, even if I didn't feel it, I got a lil nervous for my sick girls at home so I walked (too afraid I might feel it on the subway home) I walked and left my book at work so I had to read something on my small commute home this morning. So I grabbed something small and light : In Serena's Web by Kay Hooper. Someone gave me a bag of books and this was one oif them so....
Finished The Helpand at first I didn't love it but about half way through I started to like it. I haven't seen the movie and not sure I want to. I'm not from here but I live about 3 hours from Jackson MS and I can relate to the hot summers talked about in the book, can't relate to anything else though thank goodness.
I have read The Mango Orchard: Travelling Back to the Secret Heart of Mexico - Robin Bayley. I am now reading Chasing Windmills - Catherine Ryan Hyde.
I have given up on The Translation of the Bones - Francesca Kay and Chasing Windmills - Catherine Ryan Hyde. So I have decided to read Fallen - Karin Slaughter.

I felt the same way. I did like it but it wasn't an all-time fave like I expected.

Have just finished the brilliant Fallen - Karin Slaughter. I will now read After School Club - Alison Davies and Dark Touch: Shadows - Amy Meredith
I have finished Dark Touch: Shadows - Amy Meredith and After School Club - Alison Davies. So now I will carry on reading Borstal Girl - Eileen MacKenney
I'm reading The Reapers Are the Angelsfor this RIP challenge I'm participating in. So far its not bad - reminds me of The Passage and that tv show The Walking Dead.
I finally finished The Name of the Rose. It was good but sometimes hard to follow because he loved to throw in latin words and so sometimes I would get a little lost in the book. It was a slow read.
I am trying my best to catch up and so far I am doing a pretty good job. I just have to read at every spare moment I get!!! Which is not uch lol
OMGoodness!!! I am reading American Gods and it is just kicking my butt. For some reason I just can't get through this book. UGH!
Grrr. I really truly hate that. I try not to give on books but some times it is necessary for sanity reasons!!!
I love Neil Gaiman but American Gods was hard to get through it was a bit too dirty for me. I can handle adult content but two pages of every body someone touchs durning sex is a bit too much for me. I am now reading The Thirteenth Tale.
Started and finished Dark Touch: The Hunt - Amy Meredith. Now I am reading Dark Touch: Fever - Amy Meredith.
Just finished Dark Touch: Fever - Amy Meredith. Now about to start Dark Touch: Betrayal - Amy Meredith
Getting back in the grove again! Just finished
. It started out well, but kind of fizzled in the end. A little superficial I think. Now onto finsih off Sky Burial
Just started The Pirate's Daughter: A Novel. So far so good but it's kinda hard to tell when I am on page 15 lol.
