OK so I am done! I gave it 4 stars. Not quite the best book ever but still I enjoyed it!

I am now going to start The Girl Who Played with Fire and then hopefully Stiff

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

I should be able to finish up The Host tonight. I hope. I have to say the pace has really picked up toward the end to the point where I didn't want to break from reading this morning for work.

Next up for me is Travels with Charley. And then Sookie #3.

OK so The Girl who Played with Fire is starting out great. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo did not start out so great. It took a while before it started to take off so I am having higher hopes for this one.

After this I will start Stiff and then maybe The Host since I borrowed it from a friend(Noel) and have yet to return it.

I have tried very hard to get into the Sookie books. I brought the first three but I only read the first one and was not a huge fan. Maybe one day I will try again since I hear so much about it but I'm not making any promises ;-)

I liked the first one although I thought the overall writing was kind of shoddy. The 2nd one was blase but I have heard if I liked the 1st then I would like the 3rd. Anyway, it's only 2 or 3 days of reading. Or 1 if I can read for a long time.

Anna, I read Richelle Mead's series and loved them. I am loving Nina Harper's already.

message 88: by Anna (new)

Anna (stregamari) Melissa Marr, Karen Chance and Katie McAllister are very good paranormal romance authors also! Nina Harper does a good enough writing job that we actually feel for the poor succubus, which is pretty difficult!

it's on its way to me from the library, along with shantaram. soon, hopefully!

message 99: by Donna, The Pusher (new)

Donna (dfiggz) | 3119 comments Mod
Ohh Goody! They are both very large books but House of Leaves has a lot of one word (or a few words) on some pages so the read goes quicker, so I've heard. I have the book and looked through it so it is def a quicker read than Shantaram.
