So I am reading Forever and it's kinda depressing and happy all the same. I mean, it's sad because I miss that feeling but it's happy because i remember those feelings. It just goes to prove that I am getting old LOL

LOL! We all have our guilty little pleasures in reading. It can't all be profound tomes of great insight. We got to have our fluff, too.

The Last Boleyn: A Novel by Karen Harper about Mary Boleyn, for my Tudor group,
Claude & Camille: A Novel of Monet by Stephanie Cowell because my son Joe, who paints has done a few Monet copies, and has taught me to love the work of both Claude Monet and his friends Renoir and Camille-Pissaro.
Twisted by Andrea Kane with a buddy for one of my groups.
Since I last posted I have read/listened to:
Sam's Letters to Jennifer, The Righteous Men and now I am listening to Library of the Dead

Gave up on Wolf Hall - Hilary Mantel. Didn't feel it grabbing me and understanding the story. So now I am listening to Sundays At Tiffany's - James Patterson.

And I heard good things about Wolf Hall

I am now going to start The Crime of Father Amaro. I recently saw that it became a movie with my love Gael Garcia Bernal, so I decided to read the book then watch the film.
Finished listening to Sunday's At Tiffanys - James Patterson. Tonight I will finish listening to You've Been Warned - James Patterson. Tomorrow I will listen to The Last Testament - Sam Bourne.

Finished listening to Sail - James Patterson. Now I've gone back to reading Succubus Shadows - Richelle Mead.
Gave up on Father Amaro just wasn't in the mmod for it and now I am going to start City of Bones before I start our monthly read.

Karla, I loved all of the Outlander books. Enjoy!
Since I last posted I have read:
We Won The Lottery - Danny Buckland, Hello Mum - Bernadine Evaristo and Life's Too Short - Val McDermid
Now I am about to read Money Magic - Alvin Hall

Long time no write! I just finished up on Night Soldiers a few days back and am on to Suite Française. My reading is very slow these days due to the ol' baseball/softball season amongst all else.
On the subject of Palahniuk. I like what I've read from him, particularly Diary. This one was dark and disturbing but in different ways than, say, Choke. I was blown away when I watched Fight Club. Even though I like his books, I've gotten to the point where I am not jumping over bookshelves to get to the next one. I think he is much to take even for my mind. I'm not sure which one I will pick up next.

Yeah, I just brought Invisable Monsters so...??? But I feel the same way, Jeremy, I am not really "jumping over the bookshelves".
Maybe I will make Invisible Monsters my next one. It just won't be for awhile!

I have been meaning to read that one for so long that I'm embarrassed for myself. I have it on my "must read this summer" list.

I have been m..."
You will love it! It is a wonderful story, so descriptive and full of everyday life in Brooklyn in the early 1900's. I am almost finished and I do not want it to end! I have already decided that it will definitely be a re-read for me in the future.
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn has been on my shelf forver!! One day I will get to it. I am sure it is great but my list continues on!
BTW Can you believe I am still reading City of Bones??? School is out, the wedding is over and now I must finish i toff quick!

OK I am crossing my fingers that I will be done with City of Bones tonight! I can't belive it took me almost 11 days to rea this! I blame it on school and weddings LOL!

I've been struggling with DIA too Karla, but now the story is getting really good, and I'm having a hard time putting it down, so stick with it girlfriend. I hear the 3rd book is awesome, so I'm plowing through so I can get to Voyager :)
I am loving the book it is taking me longer than usual because of various events but I am determined to finish it tonight!

I haven't read the book yet and it is like #7 on my list so hopefully I will get to it rather quickly. I still got to read Honolulu!

OK. I am finishing up on City of Bones and will get onto Life as we Knew it and Titan's Curse. These are YA's so they should move quickly

As I never finished Succubus Shadows - Richelle Mead last nite for May's reads, just finished that for June. Now I am gonna carry on reading Worst Case - James Patterson.
right now my hubby and I are "fighting over" A Preferred Blur: Reflections, Inspections, and Travel in All Directions by Henry Rollins, it is ironic when I read something that he is into. We now fight over Henry Rollins and Kevin Smith! I wonder who will be next?
I am also dividing my time between a couple of books, when school finishes on the 15th (for me) I will be making up for "lost time"

It's funny, and I have no idea why, but I really dislike Henry Rollins. My husband thinks it's funny cuase I can't explain why LOL but I sdo love Kevin Smith!
