I loved Shantaram. I'm going to read it again after I'm done with DeLillo. The book I'm reading now is "White Noise" and it's really good. I got it on discount from a Borders that's closing by my house. They're really going out of business now? I've been hearing that for two years now.
I am not too sure if they are Goin gout of Business I just think they are cutting back in store locations.
I loved Shantaram but it was a big book, I don't think I would read it again but more power to ya!

I know Colleen had asked what Fever Crumb is about, and I forgot to answer. Here is Amazon.com's description:
Fever Crumb is a girl who has been adopted and raised by Dr. Crumb, a member of the order of Engineers, where she serves as apprentice. In a time and place where women are not seen as reasonable creatures, Fever is an anomaly, the only female to serve in the order. Soon though, she must say goodbye to Dr. Crumb-nearly the only person she's ever known-to assist archeologist Kit Solent on a top-secret project. As her work begins, Fever is plagued by memories that are not her own and Kit seems to have a particular interest in finding out what they are. Fever has also been singled out by city-dwellers who declare her part Scriven. The Scriveners, not human, ruled the city some years ago but were hunted down and killed in a victorious uprising by the people. If there are any remaining Scriven, they are to be eliminated. All Fever knows is what she's been told: that she is an orphan. Is Fever a Scriven? Whose memories does she hold? Is the mystery of Fever, adopted daughter of Dr. Crumb, the key to the secret that lies at the heart of London?
Just finished Silent Partner and it was ok. Now I am going to read Bitch Goddess Notebook as its for someone else.
Attempted to read The Bitch Goddess Notebook - Martha O'Connor and really can't get into going backwards and forwards between 3 characters. Now I need to think what sort of mood I am in to read.
I have decided to read The Murder Exchange - Simon Kernick and then I will read Little Face - Sophie Hannah.

So I started my ARC The Last Track and even know it is not my type of book I am really enjoying it! AND He signed it and I love when they do that!

Let me know what you think. It sounds like one I would like to read. Not in our library's system yet.

I am reading Records Management Making the Transition From Paper to Electronic because I have a test tomorrow!

I was trying to block out the snoring last night from both the baby and my husband so I actually listen to an audio book. I listened to 11 chapters of Ten Days in a Mad-House.

I can never listen to an audio book but I try a lot! This is one of my many attempts but last night it worked some how!
OK so tomorrow I guess I will start both The Help and Olive Kitteridge.
Olive Kitteridge is a work book club read and we are meeting next week and I have to read book:The Help|4667024] because i don't like being tied up! ;-)

I had forgotten about this book, Donna. I want to read it, too. Listening to it might be a good way for me to get it in, if I can find it at our library. What do you think of it?

I'm halfway thru Saving CeeCee Honeycutt. Its written so well it blooms to life. Some of the quotes and descriptions are so beautiful, I'm praising it already!
