I'll join! Just quick question, will you post hints or something so we get the right covers/Books?

It depends. When we've run these challenges before, we've only given hints for books that we haven't had correct answers for within a few hours. Just so that we make it fair for everybody. The cover pieces rounds will most likely have hints though as they are more difficult.

This is a non-reading challenge that will run from July 1st to July 30th.
- This challenge runs on Goodreads Time Zone which is PST (Currently PDT as we are in Daylight Savings Time). As both Abbie and I are in the UK, this means that each day's round will be posted at around 0.00 to 2.00am each morning PST (which is between 8am and 10am in the UK).
- PST clock - http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time...
- For each round you will have roughly 24 hours to send us (either Sarah or Abbie) by personal message your answer/s. You may message us up to 2 times per day.
- Answers will not be accepted once the results & answers for that round have been posted.
- Answers posted in the thread will be deleted, and the person who posted them disqualified.
- Answers and scores will be posted at the end of each round.
This challenge will combine three different sorts of rounds:
- Guess the Book(view spoiler)[
- Each round you will be given 5 hints. From these hints, you have to try and guess which book we're describing.
Example:
1. This book is about a girl who falls in love with a vampire.
2. The cover features a red apple
3. This book has been turned into a movie
4. This book has a love triangle
5. This book is set in a place called Forks
Answer ---> (view spoiler)[ Twilight (Twilight #1) by Stephenie Meyer (hide spoiler)]
-Once you think you have the right answer, message either Sarah or Abbie, and we will confirm if you are correct. (hide spoiler)]
- Cover Scavenger Hunt (view spoiler)[
Each day an 'item' will be posted, and you then have to find a cover with that item on it. Once you have found one, send us (Sarah or Abbie) a message with your answer and we will tell you whether it is acceptable or not.
This is unlike the other cover challenges where you have to find a specific cover, this should be easier, and there is no right answer as such, but many answers that will fit.
For example -
'Day X - find a butterfly'
all you have to do is find a cover with a butterfly on it, and it counts. So you could send us any of these covers and they would all count -
-Each correct answer (limited to one correct answer per item) will be worth 1 point.
-1 bonus point if the book you submit is classified as 'YA' on goodreads.
- On some days Bonus items may also be posted to allow you to score more points.
-Items will get progressively harder during the challenge period.
-For each item you may message us (Sarah or Abbie) up to 2 times (you get an extra go in case you get one wrong☺) (hide spoiler)]
- Cover pieces (view spoiler)[ - Cover pieces -- Each round 5 small pieces, 1 from each cover of 5 books, will be posted, your job is to tell me which cover the pieces come from.
Example:
Answer =
* There will be one point awarded for each correct cover.
* Answers must be sent to Sarah/Abbie in a PM, once a day.
* Answers must include both the book title and the author name.
* Points earned in this challenge will count towards your points total for the 2014 MMC.
*Answers should be in the format of:
Day 1 - Clockwise (Clockwise #1) by Elle Strauss
*Each round carries a maximum of 5 points. (hide spoiler)]
- Each day a new round will be posted, this could be any of the three different rounds, but there will only be 1 round per day. So one day it might be cover pieces, and the next it might be guess the book. This should make things a little more interesting ☺
- Sign-ups go in this thread, a seperate thread will be posted with each days round.
- Points from this challenge will count towards your total points for the MMC.
- There will also be 2 prizes awarded for the winner/s of this challenge. This will be decided at the end based on how many people are tied for the top-spot for example. There will be at least 2 winners for this challenge.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
