I still think Scott never got the recognition due to him for his superb writing. The style he uses often puts people off, just a bit. Featuring his book(s) is what makes the History Book Club so unique......we read classy books!!!

Hana I enjoy his writing, but I can see where others might have problems. I do wish he had put an occasional period into some of his longer sentences. And two or three pages without a paragraph break is at times a bit wearing ;)


Francie Grice I'm starting late on this one. I'm really enjoying this book so far. Look forward to continuing.

Jill Hutchinson (bucs1960) Glad you joined us, Francie. Since the weekly assignments are fairly short, you will soon be caught up with the rest of us. But there is no rush. We will start Week Four tomorrow.
